Ulc Not A Recognized Religious Denomination In Ontario Canada!
mark 45 replied to PadreJRoulston's topic in Legal Questions
you just can't preform marriage ceremonies(legal ones),or be considered tax exempt in canada(and those are the two things i know of).while more than a few have talked about getting recognition in the provinces,no one has attempted to do so as a"block",just as individuals. -
Parenting With Conflicting Beliefs (Or Lack Thereof)
mark 45 replied to Ms.Nicey-Nice's topic in Stories & Texts Archive
i like your post.and know you have been missed. when "we"had custody of my nieces, grandma was a dyed in the wool penecostal who also claimed seventh day adventist beliefs.uncle mark was a searching buddhist, with taoist leanings, otherwise an atheist.grandma tried to teach my nieces that i was going to hell, while i tried to tell them that we each create our own hell(among other things). grandma died 3 years ago,and neither of my nieces followed her"path",but have explored on their own.my one niece is agnostic, the other has found her beliefs are more deist.i have encouraged them to decide for themselves, and that no one knows the right answer for sure. that is my verbagy answer to you joella.hope it helps. -
wishing the best for you.can't help with the hebrew font tho.

may everything work out as it should. -
deleted by me. just going to say,the marriage laws in michigan don't vary by county.
-
no,you do *not*have to be registered in wayne county.there is no registration in michigan period. if the county clerk you talk to says there is,politely ask them to show you the law.more than a few county clerks will give you a hard time about being ordained thru the ulc(and some offer unsolicited opinions).just ask them what ever you need to know, and be professional about appearance and demeaner. hopefully this helps.like i also said.learn the state laws for whatever state your going to conduct a marriage in.indiana is as different as ohio vs michigan.
-
while a joke dan,i would expect better of you.

as i have said before,my ex is a mormon.and as i said,i wouldn't call her anything that would be allowed by the word filter. however, most of the people i met who were mormans were very nice people.would they also be christians.they define themselves, not me.
-
ulc ordanations are valid in the state of michigan, period.a lot of county clerks will give you a rough time about it,but if you go acting and dressed as a professional, there should be no problems with getting questions answered. there is no regrestration in the state of michigan either, although if you ask,the secretary of state or the county office where you get a copy of your birth certificate will put a copy of your certificate on file for you.there may be a small cost involved. one thing i would suggest is that you look up the marriage laws for the state of michigan and read them before you go to the county clerks.you'll sound much more intellegent.
