  1. What color is short? What color is tall? What color is fat? What color is small?
  2. I am a young virile man, slim waisted, broad shoulders, muscular with long, wavy hair. The mirror sees an old potbellied, gray haired has been.
  3. Dogs are also extremely territorial. Outside in a fenced yard they protect their territory from intruders. I am not saying that I would isolate my dog. I am saying that he would live outside. He would still be the beneficiary of all the love and attention he would get if he were inside. My dog, inside, does not get up on my furniture or in my lap. I do not pet him when he is in the house because it raised so much hair, which lays in little clumps soon to be hair bunnies and grow into hair werewolves. I have had other dogs outside before marriage, that were quite well adjusted to their surroundings and happy in the roll they were required to lead. Of course, I have always had what I call "real dogs" and not those little things that can be mistaken for rodents.
  4. Cats are amazing creatures. I usually have an outside cat. I don't like cats in doors because they always seem to target my counters and table. I know where those feet have been and it disgusts me. I also do not like the smell of a home with a litter box. I have been to people's homes who say their litter boxes don't stink. That is because their noses are full of the smell and they don't notice it anymore. But I do really love and care for my outside cat. I have never had problems with rodents, although the squirrels do a lot of teasing. I have a love for dogs as well and would not have a dog in the house either if it were not the insistence of my wife. Way too much dog hair. My wife complains about it but still won't have the dog sleep outside.
  5. Eleven herbs and spices consist of salt, grease, salt, grease, salt, grease, salt, grease, salt, grease, and salt.
  6. If you get it from Col. Mustard, you will start a whole new debate.
  7. Some would say that they do not believe in God. Those folks usually don't get involved arguing with those who do. Some folks believe there is no God and tend to get rather vocal about their belief.
  8. If you are referring to the ULC Monestary's Minister's button on their home page, it is more like facebook for fools. They don't have discussions there. All they do is have a bunch of "good morning" and "be my friend" stuff. Try disagreeing with someone's post and see how fast the "ministers" become vulgar and attack. What would pass for their real forum is pretty much dead regardless of membership and only gets a new posting on rare occasions.
  9. I am grateful for having been allowed to be. All else lies within that gratitude.
  10. I am confused. How do you clear your mind of all thoughts and emotions and then begin imagining yourself doing anything? When I meditate, I first form a question I need answered or a request of the Divine and then I clear my mind of all thoughts and become one with my Source and Strength. While in meditation, I have no thoughts.
  11. That is the key. I don't care what horrible things people believe about each other. It is the actions they take against each other that cannot be tolerated. We torture others to get information about people who torture others so I suppose it is just a small step backward to be intolerant of the intolerant. These people do this and that so, by God, we are going to do this or that back to them.
  12. They won't be able to as I have prepared them for dinner.
  13. How can you people do anything before coffee, much less have a thought?
  14. Having been divorced earlier in my life and with a child in the mix, I can imagine what it must be like for you. I know everyone's situation is different, but if there is pain stabbing in your heart, it is the same pain that stabbed in mine. You must also know that you will one day ultimately quit smoking. Give yourself time and don't beat yourself up for it. I am sure you are doing some introspection and finding things here and there to beat yourself up over as it is. Today I celebrate my 13th year tobacco free. It took 39 years of smoking and the last 13 years for me to say that. Your time is coming.
  15. A man will starve hoping someone will feed him. One must get of their butt and take action to gain or accomplish. Hope merely delays the outcome.
  16. I cannot advise you to specifics, however, if you want a plant to grow and be healthy, you must treat it as any other living thing. Give it attention and love it. Plants can tell if they are loved. If you love them, you will give them the attention. The attention would, of course, include proper feeding, watering, weeding, and just plain coming out and admiring them, silently letting them know how much you love and appreciate their efforts to please you. Works with all animals and plants and sometimes people.
  17. No one and nothing can make you happy or content. Both come from inside yourself, the source of all.
  18. I will keep your Aunt Betty and Uncle Ellis in my thoughts and meditations.
  19. And who will determine what is unacceptable? The liberals? The conservatives? The Christians (which Christians?)? The Atheists? The Pagans? Only the men folk? How about only the women folk? Shall we campaign like we elect a president and vote on it?
  20. The very citizens that are quick to cite their rights under the constitution are often the first to wish do deny those right to those they disagree with. Freedom of religion is fine as long as you do not wish to build a mosque in my neighborhood or home town. Freedom of religion is fine as long as you are not a member of the Westboro Baptist Church, etc. Freedom to walk the streets in your hometown is fine unless you are Hispanic in Arizona and left your identification at home. The list goes on and on. If there is any deviation from the myth of the American Ideal, that deviation is met with intolerance over and over again. As far as defeating intolerance is concerned, I do not believe it will ever be done.
