  1. Well I think my reasons have changed over the years. At first I wanted a place to chat with other spiritual persons, and this forum seemed to be the most open minded out of the ones I visited then. I was also newly ordained back then and could use the information that was here. Then I became chat mod, and I made a few friends. Basically I was taken into the fold and it was not only a learning/sharing place, but also a friendly place. Then I took a break for awhile. I hit a point where school wasn't going too well, I needed more time and felt I should step down as mod since I didnt have the time nor the mentality to help moderate. I stayed away for awhile, but eventually that first reason has drawn me back. Its changed somewhat. Many friends have gone their separate ways, but there are still a few die hard friends. And I don't post as much either. Instead I read for 5 or 10 minutes and I might check in to see whats new every few hours. But otherwise I'm not as involved. I still keep in touch though and enjoy reading.
  2. I think she would have screamed and ran to the nearest church to pray for your soul. lol. I have no doubt she did pray for my soul the following sunday.
  3. I did the next best thing. By accident I checked out at Walmart and the price came to $6.66. The beastly women tried to insist on adding a penny to it. I told her no, if she did I'd not pay it. And on an somewhat evil whim, I told her 666 was my favorite number. lol. Funny for me. Her face turned pale.
  4. Happy Birthday. I haven't saw you on here for a very long time. But I do remember you! Hope all is well.

  5. I'm sure a lot more care. Its just that they haven't expressed it properly.
  6. PCF Donald K. Smith served in Co L. 399th Regiment, 100th infantry Division, seventh army. For those looking at the word Biche', no it is not a misspelling. Its Oct 6th 1944, and my grandfather is leaving the United states headed for the front line in Baccarat, France. During that time the 100th infantry fought a bloody battle on the front lines, loosing many men, but pushing the Germans back. During the 100th's 6 months of combat, 916 men were killed, 3,656 were injured, 180 men went missing. Over 500 men earned silver stars as well as many other metals of honor. The fortress town of Biche' was a key location that had withstood attacks for 200 years. No one until the 100th arrived, was able to take the city over. Biche' was under siege for 3 winter months, finally falling March 16, 1945. For the men and women who have given their blood and life for others, I honor them. May they always live on in our hearts. 7. I think you have a very good start. I'd like to see some more background info. Like what country are they in, some more info about the woman and their lovers tryst. Give us some more info on their friends, acquaintances, surroundings, etc...... You have a lot to build on but you've got a good start. One thing though, I can't really believe anyone would be able to silently endure being beaten by a whip. At the very least she should have more than one tear. You paint an image that her back is being torn open by the whip, she's got to have more reaction, Yes I know she's trying to be strong, but there's only so much the human body can take. Perhaps she keeps quiet but we see more tears.
  8. I pretty much had the same reasons. Other than I did "minister" online frequently and it calmed some, and gives me a legal backing as well. I've never used it for marriages or other rituals. I had no interest to use it that way and probably never will.
  9. No there is no paperwork to file since they are already married. Many couples do this. Its normally called a recommitment ceremony.
  10. http://www.lrc.state.ky.us/KRS/402-00/CHAPTER.HTM Theres a link for KY marriage laws.
  11. Of course it depends on the person. Reread the statement I put in bold. It does not say ALL convicts want to go back in. I am in no way judging an entire group. I'm simply relating to a statement by personal experiences.
  12. The statement I made bold is so true. Several years ago the company I was working for hired a man. His job was basically to help me. I was pregnant with my daughter at the time and I could not lift heavy boxes. (My job was to fill shampoo, his to box and ship) The man was an ex-con. And at least once per week he would complain about working, paying bills, etc. Basically if it included being responsible he hated it. Eventually he even admitted he wanted to go back to prison and eventually thats what happened. He raped a 5 yr old girl. The fact of the matter is many people get into a situation that becomes comfortable. And instead of moving out of their comfort zone they just do with their accustomed to do. Not much will change their life when they have that mentality. Only they can change it.
  13. I'm generally an open book. Though if I don't know you I may clam up a bit. The more I know you the more comfortable I am with sharing information about myself. I can't really think of a subject that I wouldn't talk about with someone. It has more to do with whose asking than what the subject matter is.
  14. Its hard to put a number to it. But it had to be before 3. The only memory of my father before he left. He was holding me and throwing me up in the air a little.
  15. May all recieve the blessings of the harvest this Thanksgiving.
  16. Hi welcome to the forum. I know it took a lot of strength to post what you have. I don't know if you are on parol or not. But my first place would be to go to a parol officer. As that officer he will have information you need such as local jobs willing to hire. I know most ex-convicts do not like the patrol officers. I'm sure a lot of them have attitudes and judgements already firmly in place. But show them your willing and ready to move on with your life and I'm sure they will be more than happy to help.
  17. I know it takes a massive amount of courage and inner reflection to make a leap like that. to you for having the will power to do it.
  18. lol. Kentuckians sure do love their bourbon. Wild Turkey is made less than 3 miles from me.
  19. Nope. I like Vodka straight. Though I do prefer orange juice with it.
  20. Unfortunately the coven I join up with sometimes has come across Dueling magics. Normally happens between covens when a younger member has a grudge or wants to prove themselves. It's easily dealt with but is a nuisance. Again only reason I've saw this happen is because a younger wants to prove themselves to the older and more experienced. Their simply not on the correct path when they do this. Each religion has its bad apples.
  21. I think a lot of people assume Christians are anti on any other religion because Christians claim to be the "One true religion". Sure there are those who are tolorant or even admit there isn't one true religion. But then again if their christian and believe that then they don't believe all the tenents of Christianity do they? Every persons religious experience is different. It is extremely personal and cannot be put into a small box and say this is what it is.
