  1. It's my little mans first birthday today. Were having a party tomorrow so everyone can be here, but here's a picture of him this morning. Fresh out of bed. (Check out the hair. lol)
  2. If I knew without a doubt myself or my family were in danger I'd use deadly force. But I would try to only incapacitate if I could.
  3. lol. Secret to a happy marriage is If mom isn't happy, no one is happy! Men need to strive to do whatever they can to make their woman happy. Oh and don't stop romancing her just because your married.
  4. Thanks. Oatmeal Raisin cookies are in the oven now.
  5. Have a wonderful Beltane! I'm planning to put up a little propserity alter today. Maybe make some oatmeal cookies.
  6. While pats on the back are great and I enjoy them as much as any other person, I was looking for constructive criticizm. Doesn't mean I'll agree with you. I happen to like the font I changed it to and it won't be changed. The specs were due to me redoing that curved text over and over again so no they were not on purpose. The problem stemmed from Josh seeing specs where I did not. Even when I zoomed in to 800% I didn't see them. I did go over that area with the eraser so hopefully I've gotten the majority if not all. I don't think they are easily visable now so it shouldn't retract from the image. I did the curved text a good dozen times before I got it to the first pic I uploaded. Josh's advice about how to curve it helped immensely and its what I was looking for when I searched Gimp tutorials on it. Not sure why those tutorials didn't show that way to begin with. My life would have been much simpler that day if they had begun with that method. No one offended me in the least. I am certainly not trying to please anyone elses vision of what it should be though. It is what I set out to make. And if others don't like the design thats ok.
  7. Nope. See I tried to find something like that but the tutorials only showed the pathways.
  8. By not pieced together I mean the text isn't. And yes I used that tutorial plus one other to do the curve of the text. The pentacle is free png images used together. So I suppose that is peiced together. But the text was done with the method shown in the video you linked. Do you know the name of it or have a tutorial? Because when I searched how to do it all tutorials showed me to use pathways.
  9. I used gimp. Its not peiced together. You have to use the pathways tool.
  10. yeah I know curving that text was a bitch though. Best I could get it.
  11. Ok so do you know of a website that lists the law according to state?
  12. Thats just the font. And the background is transparent.
  13. Yesterday I wrote a post on "This is why I'm a Minister". Its in response to an article on Witchvox degrading Pagan ministers. In my article I touched on why I decided to become ordained. A well respected member of the Pagan community told me that she became ordained because it protected her legally when she did spiritual counseling. I was also doing spiritual counseling online at the time but had not known I could be sued. So I trusted her judgement and became ordained. However I didn't research the specific laws and cases in regards to why its important to be ordained to do spiritual counseling. I've found what seems to be the biggest case, or perhaps the most popular one. Nally vs. Grace Community Church This is an 80's case where the family of the deceased sued for clergy malpractice. The court ruled that spiritual counselors do not have a duty to refer anyone to a mental health professional. Does anyone else have specific laws or court cases that deals with this?
  14. I made a new logo for my blog. What do you think?
  15. If you are wanting to submit this to a publisher then do not share it on an open forum. They won't accept it if it's already available for public viewing.
  16. Yeah I wish he had won AGT. But he did go on to do his thing in Vegas. So hey not a bad outcome!
  17. Congrats! I'd replace at least one serving of coffee with water though! As mentioned above, coffee isn't good either. Keep up the good work!
  18. I do believe in reincarnation. I think our purpose in life is to learn and spiritually grow. We can't do this in one lifetime so we choose to do many lives. I have had a few dreams and one vision of past lives. The more prominent ones have been a reoccurring dream where I was a small child living in a Victorian house. I was dancing in a circular room overlooking a bay. I think I was in Maine or somewhere similar. I never did anything more than just dance in the circular room with my pretty dress on. I would have maybe been 5 or 6. (Btw, I do not know how to dance! Not in this lifetime anyway) Another was a vision during a Samhain festival. There I saw another life, another time I was a witch, and a not so happy ending. It was either be burned alive or choose my own death. I chose my own death.
  19. They are two of my favorite authors so I thank you! I didn't really ask for a critique. Comments yes, but not critiques. But since you gave it, they are duly noted. I know anytime I put works out there another writer/author may stumble upon it and its almost automatic to critique. Since this story is just for a blog party and I am very busy anyway I wasn't going to spend all of my time getting it ready for the deadline (Which was today). I only had a month to complete it. But if I should ever choose to expand upon it, I'll keep your critique in mind. I really don't see me writing more about it though. I already have two novels in the works. Plus I write on my blog daily.
  20. This is just something I threw together in a few weeks. Its not really a representation of what I can really do. Just to let you know, in case you got that impression. I knew it wouldn't be perfect, and perfection wasn't my goal.
