nope. He's closer to 60 I think. Doesn't keep facial hair at all. Isn't chiseled a bit. He's quick to laugh and I wouldn't call him "normal" in any sense. But he's a big happy teady bear of a man.

Its about that time again. So I'm bumping this up. What are your Memorial day plans? My work is going to do a board with everyones relations who were in the military. I'll make something up with Grandpa's picture. I actually don't have any other relation that is/was in the military. My father was too chicken I suppose and Dh didn't pass the health requirements since his knee was crushed in a footback accident. Oh wait, Dh's father was in the military..but since he's a ** I won't bother mentioning him. He only went to avoid jail. Anyway, maybe I'll buy a new BBQ grill. Yes, that sounds like a good plan.

I think this is a Christian saying but honestly I only heard it in a movie. "Cleanliness is next to Godliness". When our environment is not healthy, then neither is our mental, physical, and spiritual selves. I'm the worst when it comes to cluttering up our home. I hate to clean. But I think this is a good lesson for all.

Thankyou Nestingwave. Though I've never used that kind of deck before I think its pretty clear change is in order. Which is why I say start with the basics. But you didn't answer my other question. I appreciate your offer of help, but that wasn't the purpose of the post. How has your envioronment made an effect on your spiritual life? It can be positive or negative.

Now I forgot what I was going to say this morning. Anyway, I think you should get the point of my post. Environment plays a major role in how we think and feel. When our environment is bad so is our moods and our energy level. So how has the environment you live in effected your spirituality?

Do you believe the places and people around you effect how you are spiritually? I think it does. Let me explain. I live in a small 900 sq foot apartment. Everything is clutter because we have too much stuff and not enough space. When we moved here, I put my alter things away for two reasons. One, Sierra was still a toddler at the time and I knew I wouldn't be able to sequester the alter things like I had done in our previous house. Second, because of space issues and I didn't want people walking in on my rituals. So several years later and here I am. I don't do many rituals. When I do, they are not done with as much energy as I once had. I don't feel like I can go outside and do them because I live in town, and I'd rather not be a target of religious hate tyvm. Another words, my spirituality has become stagnant because of my environment. So, we've decided to change a few things. First thing is to de-clutter! Second thing is to surround ourselves with other pagans. We are going to attend circle meetings with a local friend. She's also the High Priestess. (Got to work. I'll add more in a bit)

If these two Wiccans are you friends then you will find the beauty in being who they are. You don't have to agree with their beliefs to be a friend. But you do have to respect their choices to be a good friend. Your job isn't to save their souls. They are doing what they beleive is right. And Tsunkino is absolutely correct that by praying for them to be "saved" you are indeed practicing a form of witchcraft. I hope that your friends realize what you are doing in time to stop any negativity from coming to them. Remember what you send out returns to you my friend.

You are not the first person to suggest I change the way I heal. And you won't be the last. However I do what works for me. You are right to say I am the conduit for the energy. Yet the purpose of the witch is to not only be the conduit but the conductor. To effectivly heal I must feel the persons pain so I can target. Its like healing from the inside out. I begin with the aura. Feeling its flow and colors. But I also delve deaper. I invision the the skin, the muscle, the organs. I feel what is wrong and urge the energy to heal it. I've never had the opportunity to do this on a major case continuously. I will say that I've healed small animals who would have died had I not interviened. Of course it takes considerably less energy to heal a small thing like a butterfly than it would a human. You are right to say its not just me. And I didn't intend to imply that. Its not just my energy. When I heal I am the conductor to the energies of the universe. That white light flows from me into my "Patient". But its not enough just to have that energy flow. You must be able to direct it. Thank you. I love the phoenix. Thank you for what you said. Though no I don't get depressed. I certainly do believe in protecting my "brood" as you put it though.
