Beheaded For Witchcraft And Sorcery

Kill witches. Christians do it all the time in Africa.

The worst that Christianity has to offer is on the same level that the worst of Islam has to offer. It would be nice to see the moderates -- supposedly the majority in both religions -- say something. Yes. Christians do have a voice. They manage to cry out in anguish over marriage equality.

I do recall the previous Pope -- the "Pope Emeritus" -- condemning witchcraft. It probably didn't help anything good. It is a thing of sadness to watch the crap roll down hill from the top.

In fairness, I don't see the Christian world getting worked up over what's happening to the Copts. It looks like equal opportunity indifference.

There are MANY places in the world that witches are hunted and killed, about 500 annually are murdered in Tanzania. Witch hunts are still common in Africa, South America, and India. And yes sometimes the Bible comes up as a reason. However, in places like Tanzania, it is very much a place that still believes in witch doctors, and such, and appeasing the "gods" when something goes bad (people get sick, weather, livestock dies etc) and needing a blame token. How that tends to work is find the "bad witch/es" murder them (often by hacking them to death with machetes, or setting them on fire while they are alive) to appease the "gods" so they will return the favor again to the community.

To say that "Christians" are the ones doing it, is not accurate, at least not in those scenarios.

However, there are places, more so in South America and even India where the Bible is used as a justification to get rid of the "bad witch/es". That doesn't come from a pulpit though, of a belief structure of local practicing Christians.

As I said, action is preferable to sitting still and allowing things like this to occur. It seems like everyone is saying the opposite, that we should be complacent and say this is too big a problem to handle? Maybe I am misreading all of you?

Making things worse is not better than doing nothing. It is, in fact, worse. Letting fear of the evil others will do cause you to do evil is cowardice, not courage. This is what I am saying.

And the Muslims in the north have always just cut their heads off. I do not find any record of widespread homosexual acceptance in African culture before the Christians got there, or the Muslims. It does seem that any form of infertility is unacceptable in primitive societies that live at the edge of subsistence, where breeding is a necessity for survival.

Not that I condone persecution, but there does not seem to be a golden age of acceptance for homosexuals that we have fallen from. Homosexual acceptance has risen in kind with the prosperity of the Mercatus Liber or the Free Market, but not done so well under socialist rationing.

Christian missionaries like Scott Lively didn't seem to have a problem stirring the pot over homosexuality in Africa, which led to Uganda's notorious Anti-Homosexuality Act.

That is because homosexuality is a sin. It is a rebellious act against God. And God will hold those accountable who do it or promote it.

You are condoning murder in the name of God. That makes you a participant in atrocity.

Please make sure you do not respond inside the quote box of someone you quoted. It makes it look like your words came from them, thank you very much.

I wonder which would get me beheaded sooner, being a Vampire or being a homosexual? (Although killing my physical body wouldn't do them much good in preventing my eventual resurgence in spiritual form.) As for "God" holding me accountable, I am unconcerned. I am a god in my own right and am unafraid of the wrath of other deities. I prefer the Underworld to Heaven in any case . The music and the food are much better, and we still have sex ;). BTW, what is referred to as rebellion is what I consider freedom. I do not acknowledge the authority of another deity to supersede my own. I apologize for the seeming arrogance, but I am after all a Vampire :vamp:

I doubt these killers are capable of such distinctions. I expect they would just call you a "witch." After all, they are crazy, ignorant, vicious.and stupid. The very flower of their God's love.

IMO.
