  1. So, we are to think that internal torment is natural? I suspect it might be, but we do have a choice....we can always open the jar to see it is empty! I endeavor to persevere!!
  2. Mr. Snake, thanks for posting those vids!! It is complicated as to why I appreciate them.
  3. Another inadequate poll. Morals and Ethics (minus the apostrophies) have their roots in philosophical truths, honed and vetted over the millenia and via vigorous debate and review. Perhaps read the Great Philosophers for a better understanding......few people nowadays bother to do so. There is some truth in what you say here. However, does that discount the same "pro-survival" ethics and morals of someone who could not write? I do not think so.
  4. Advantaged with money and priviledge, he certainly was. But his business opportunities were not failures. Nor was his governorship of the largest state in the union. I'm not motivated to sing this dude's praises, but certainly he had a a better track record of leadership, and vastly more experience in business and leadership, than our current President. It isn't even debatable. The actual statistics. Time permitting, I can post them for you if you cannot find them yourself. You're right. What is clear is what your assessment does not consist of. I apologize for that mistake. Please tell us on what basis you establish your assessment. Thank you.
  5. Bush had successfully accomplished and led many things prior to being elected. And he kept unemployment low. Your assesment is ideological, not pragmatic.
  6. I agree with you. Although he does not have the experience to qualify as dog catcher or much of anything else. He's never run a business. He's never produced anything. His voting record at the state and federal level is almost non-existent. We know little to nothing about his actual past, his actual education or much of anything else not fabricated in his book (perhaps you are aware that it is now public knowledge that he created out of thin air the past relationships described in his book). And as President he's pretty much made worse everything he's touched....certainly he's divided the country like no other before him, and spent more money than any other human in history with nothing to show for it.. So, his ability to drive a truck and catch a dog is highly suspect. The one thing he IS good at is public speaking, which will make him a lot of money next year and for the rest of his life on the speaking circuit. I could not watch either video, sorry....
  7. It is a common thing for people here to refute a thing without refuting a thing. It smacks or a purely emotional and ideologial response, rather than a logical one. Please prove me wrong: Tell me how any of the quotes I cited are in any way wrong. Thank you. If your point is that both dominate political parties are self-serving and corrupt, then I agree with you post. The answer to that, and I'm sure you will disagree, is found in the reformational platform found within the Tea Party. If/When you disagree, let's discuss. I look forward....
  8. I agree with most of what you said, however you do not need access to a butcher shop (mostly a passe service nowadays) to buy beef by the side or quarter. Plenty of farms available in most areas (within reason) that will provide the same service. In the PNW, there are many. Just need an adequate freezer! HUGE savings can be had......although as I currently operate in the hallowed e-grounds of ULC, I am reminded what Clueless Git might say in this thread of yours, Josh!! Vitamix is best, but pricey.....
  9. Awesome series........ The Imp is the best....
  10. Why is this news or a topic of concern??? Is the issue to debunk a Christian, a wealthy man, or something else?
  11. You won't read this, because you hide behind the intolerance of the ignore function. This makes responding to you all the more fun for me. Doubt and shades of gray are an important part of the journey toward truth. It is the vetting process, or the process of illimination. Once there, logic and certainty are definately strengths.
  12. I am friends of most all animals. Any animal that comes to my property, gets an opportunity to get fed. My wife and I debate the merits of this, as we are obviously contributing to an artifical population. But I so love to see animals on my deck....... I'm so happy that you asked!! I've got a Pacific Northwest Bird Book, and on the back cover I have written the 40+ witnessed birds on my property. Some rare, most not. The Pileated is probably my most favorite visitor. The last and biggest big woodpecker in Northern America. But we also see virtually all the regional, local and migratory birds. Minus the sea birds..... Most recently, my VERY populated and popular multiple seed feeders have recently attracted a Perrigrin Falcon, the world's fastest raptor. We now often see piles of song bird feathers on our deck. Wife, mother and neighbors hate it, but I love it. Circle of life. Most other hawks have less success, given the accessibility of the the safety of the greenbelt behind out home. With regards to you question about squirrels and cats..... Cats are not really a problem where I live, but squirrels are a bigtime competition....not just with our feeders, but also with the fruit and vegetables we grow. So, we have lots of chicken wire, feeder domes, etc.... nevertheless, the fine-tailed rodents are a common participant of our yard. Vitki of Atwater Fame, I doubt I can give you any tips. I am just an amateur who devotes lots of no-mess feed, suet, and nector, to all my wild friends. Few things are better than having rare song birds virtually eat our of your palms.....
  13. Exactly!!! However, sometimes there are very good reasons and justification to be prejudice, for which there is no need to apologize! My wife makes this point to me all the time. I love her for it.
  14. That is exactly what I was talking about.
  15. I've been there. Saw public "justice" there, too. They practice eye-for-an-eye, tooth-for-a-tooth there. Saw stuff I wish I had not. That was back in the day; I'd likley not be tolerated there now....
  16. Good song, good intent, good message.... Thanks for posting.....
  17. Why not? Are not all mothers who lose their children sorrowful? Why you gotta go question a person's prayer? Mother Mary came to me, speaking words of wisdom, let it be....
  18. The closest I got was Aqaba, Jordan and the Gulf of Aqaba (or Gulf of Eilat, depending on your perspective). Interesting border there with Israel. Good food. People were nice. View of the Mt. Sinai and the Penninsula was spectacular. The water is unique and beautiful, and the countless old ship wrecks there only add to the historic flavor of the area. I have pictures of it all, somewhere in the garage..... I remember travelling up the Red Sea to get there. Lots of interesting stories and memories.. Would not want to go there today.
  19. Dude, that is totally awesome. Major respect!!!!! If only I could fix me with the same success.....
  20. I've got all kinds of animals, mostly the domesticated types.....but I spend the most coin in massively feeding my winged and free neighbors. The amount of feed (many, many feeders) that they go through is both amazing and counter to my long-expressed view against unnatural populations.
  21. Fun story. But the idea that "You dont have to be wrong for me to be right" is true only in the most rare circumstances. Usually, it is not true.
