Fred Phelps Has Died.
Brother Kaman replied to Pete's topic in * Welcome - ULC Minister's Introduction Junction *
My experience with Christians tells me that the very few who really believe are at peace with themselves and their God, knowing they are doing the best they can to keep their savior front and center in their lives. The so-called Christians put on the mask of morality for church related activities and do as they please the rest of the time with no thought of any reward or punishment. -
So you believe that as long as the government is pissing away my money that I should support you too? I cannot print the words here to describe how I feel about that.

Fred Phelps Has Died.
Brother Kaman replied to Pete's topic in * Welcome - ULC Minister's Introduction Junction *
Old man Phelps has become a moot point. Focus your energies on those carrying on his legacy. -
ALL the government's money, regardless of what it is spent for or on, comes from the taxpayers. To say that SSI money does not is ridiculous.

Ordaining Selection?
Brother Kaman replied to RowanWolf's topic in * Welcome - ULC Minister's Introduction Junction *
And, everyone has the right to play religion, spirituality, God, ordination or Saturday morning cartoons for laughs if that is where their life has led them. Some have said they were ordained for laughs and THEN felt a calling or desire to take it to the spiritual level. Who knows what lies in the heart of another? -
I, too, fought for freedom of speech as well as our other dwindling freedoms. That said, I also tend to look upon those who do not bother to learn basic grammar in speech or spelling in writing as being either less educated or at the least, too lazy to care. I don't take these sorts of people nearly as seriously as I would if they would at least take time to use a spell check on their computer's word processing program. Pronunciation is another matter. There are many words that have so many different ways to pronounce by looking at them. Ore gun and Ore gone are a good example. If one was to spell it Oregun, however, I would take issue, not with the offender personally. but in my own mind. Mind you, this is only MY opinion. I have riled up many a forum with this opinion and have been called many dark and black things for it.

What Is Mankind's Greatest Achievement?
Brother Kaman replied to Fedora's topic in Philosophy & Theory
That cannot be Mankind's greatest achievement. Mankind is far from achieving kindness toward on another. -
And as so far seen, energy can neither be created nor destroyed. Energy, being everything, is God, including me and mine and you and yours.

Love And The Universe
Brother Kaman replied to Foxcedar's topic in New Age Theosophy & Cosmic Humanism
Gravity, electromagnetic fields, thermodynamics, etc. is merely the same dancer performing different dances. One cannot really compare which is greatest. They are all great within the limits or limitless of what they do.- 58 replies

What Is Mankind's Greatest Achievement?
Brother Kaman replied to Fedora's topic in Philosophy & Theory
And why is this so important? A question was asked and these are the answers. I don't necessarily agree with them but why should it be important that I don't? -
What Is Mankind's Greatest Achievement?
Brother Kaman replied to Fedora's topic in Philosophy & Theory
I cannot possibly believe this to be mankind's greatest achievement. The male hemp plant is gender primarily used for fibers for rope, clothing, etc. Colorado's crime rate cannot yet be determined to have fallen in this short of time span. Give it a year or two, then make a determination. Also, is the crime rate over all, or drug related. Is it crime against property, violent crime? Lots of things going on here. -

Precognitive Thoughts, Feelings, Dreams.
Brother Kaman replied to Cornelius's topic in Stories & Texts Archive
Some folks who want a warmer reality just get on a plane and thus create - for themselves - a warmer reality. -
Precognitive Thoughts, Feelings, Dreams.
Brother Kaman replied to Cornelius's topic in Stories & Texts Archive
Like I always say, "We create our own reality." Some of us are able to do it consciously. My most frequent is to be driving the same road or street over and over again at much higher speeds than the law allows and then for no particular reason, one day I will decide to slow down and take it easy. Sure enough, on those slow down days, there will be a law officer and a radar gun waiting for me if I hadn't slowed down. -
Guess this means I will have to stop sacrificing babies and eating them for breakfast, Atwater Vitki. Ah well, such is the life of the Universalist.

Favorite Religious Text?
Brother Kaman replied to Enkidu's topic in Creative Expression & Cultural Arts
Any text, including Webster's Dictionary can be a religious text if one wishes to view it as such. -
Just don't call me a cab (can't afford it) and don't call me late for dinner. Everything else is just words.

Favorite Religious Text?
Brother Kaman replied to Enkidu's topic in Creative Expression & Cultural Arts
"The Elegant Universe" Yes it is a religious text. It is mine. -
I don't understand why one's own reality is so dull or unimportant that one must watch a scripted "reality" program on TV and then put any stock into what they are watching. If you want reality, look out your window.

Most people, regardless of religion will tout the "Golden Rule." Few, if any of us on this planet, live by it. As far as Duck Dynasty and "what's his name," it took me a long time to figure out what all the hoohoo was about. My life is reality enough for me without having to watch it scripted on TV. Bottom line is: Who cares. If you have a program on TV of any kind, the folks who broadcast it have all the say in the matter and the sponsors have all the say as to where they wish to place their money.
