  1. Thank you. That is what I wanted to know.
  2. I wonder if we could talk to George now if he would be singing the same songs. Someone should try to channel Carlin!
  3. In your opinion though is a lab created crystal more like a Gucci high heel or an hammer for driving a nail?
  4. I have an altar set up full of various crystals and an Happy Buddha statue. I sit with various minerals on my zafu and zabuton. It is very calming but using the minerals has never led to any estatic experiences. Lately I've been wondering about lab created crystals. Since they are generated in a lab they are perfect and one would think they would be able to help focus any energy more precisely. Something in me though seems to prefer natural crystals over the lab created. I want to create my own chakra pendant using lab created precious stones but would like to hear what some Reiki Masters think about lab created over natural. Getting a lab created tanzanite, diamond and sapphire is also a whole heck of a lot cheaper than the real deal.
  5. I'll have to try the hematite and selenite handling you mentioned. I just wish my selenite didn't weigh about 8 lbs. I have a rather large mineral collection with a little of everything. Even a humungous Melody's Super Seven.
  6. Do you think The Song of Solomon could skate under a PG-13 rating?
  7. Are there some items or types of energies which are more important to Reiki than others. Like Minerals and Crystals, sounds, vibrations such as tuning forks and music, thermals or is it more a case of whatever the practitioner and patient are most comfortable using to help them focus their minds?
  8. woozers one needs the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow to pay for those things!
  9. Thanks guys! We broke the all time record for total snowfall for Maryland in one year since they have been recording such things back in the late 1800's and we still have 39 days left for the season with another big storm due Monday. I don't know how those folks put up with this stuff up in the mountains and near the Great Lakes every year. I'm feeling better already..THANKS AGAIN!!!
  10. I've been watching the discussion and enjoying it. I'd like if you guys could send me any positive energy you can spare to keep to keep me strong while shoveling even more snow during the latest blizzard. I'm drained and stressed to the max even after hours of meditating to restore my sanity or little that is left. I lost it this morning and got angry with the older females in the house and told them they should be out there making snow igloos for the homeless instead of talking about how cool it was that they were dumping salt laden snow into the Inner Harbor.
  11. Agreed. Many times I have had trees, flowers and other elements of nature make me feel just as close to the Divine as any of the various Sacred writings that mankind treasures.
  12. Heres a thought I've been having lately......like two seconds after I read your post actually lol When a person drastically fails their high calling in this life, say by commiting suicide or some other heinous act, what effect does that have on the job performance rating of that person's spirit guides. I was meditating once and seemed to get a strong impression that a Guide is my next station on my Spiritual Journey and that the person I was going to be a guide for was even more hard headed and stubborn than myself, so I would get a better understanding of the torments that I have caused my own guides. Seems we might effect quite a few more beings then just ourselves whenever we screw up!
  13. "Awakening the Heros Within" twelve archetypes to help us find ourselves and transform our world by Carol S. Pearson I went to a Psychic Speed Reading event last weekend and this was one of the books one of the readers suggested I read.
  14. Loving healing energies headed her way. I must confess though, for myself without having a name or someone to visualize for sending the energies to, I often feel those energies might go to any number of faceless, nameless people with similar illnesses.
  15. Isn't healing others like the saying give a person a fish and you feed them once. Teach them how to fish and you help feed them their whole lives. Everyone should be capable of healing themselves of many small incursions if taught to do so. Shouldn't an emphasis on that be more desirable?
  16. I think our mindsets are the most imporatnt part of healing. Whatever one wishes to label these sublime energies, chi, pranic etc etc, they aren't going to help anyone who doesn't want to be healed.
  17. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. Romans 1:20 (ESV) I myself would think that the verse above would be speaking of every human ever created with eyesight. No matter on which side of the deluge they were born. This verse also speaks to me that there could be no excuse for creating any icons to an "Unknown God" or any oher type of idol as mankind is without excuse for distorting the image and nature of God for wich there has been clear and undeniable evidence since the creation of the world for all to see. I would like to note that Luke the writer of Acts was known as the Reconciler. He tried to smooth over the friction between various groups and peoples. He worked at smoothing over the friction between Paul and the Apostles and a few other relationships. So the fact he tried to smooth over the relationship between the Greeks who worshipped pagans and God isn't surprising to me. He even contradicts Pauls own teachings in other places, like whether Paul went to Jesrusalem to get the blessings of the Apostles before Paul started his ministry and at least two other points of conflict.
  18. Thank you so much for the wonderful explanation.
  19. Meanwhile Dan watch the news with what is happening with the people of Haiti and multiply that by Gawdzillion times and think of all the evil and suffering he has allowed since the earth was formed and you want to ask him why he stood by so long watching with his 3-D glasses and eating popcorn.
  20. Dan the manufacturer of the car did not also design and create the person driving the car. In God's case he designed the automobile and the driver so yes HE IS COMPLICIT AND RESPONSIBLE!! The car could have been designed where it doesn't even start if the driver is above the legal limit. God also designed the system which creates our tolerance for alcohol. Yes you can attribute evil to God based on your own sinful choices because he designed the complete system in which you are aware of and can make those choices.
  21. Yes that is correct. It mentions " an inscription dating from the 10th century B.C., during the period of King David's reign. "
  22. Enjoy yourself. That is what life is for IMHO. What songs do you enjoy singing most? Karaoke scares me, even the word sends chills down my spine.
  23. Yes I'm also hoping they find more archeological evidence for both David's and Solomon's kingdom.
  24. Ok help me through my fog then. The following statement in Romans is true for everyone including both targeted audiences in the scriptures: For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. Now both have created idols and worshiped them and have no excuse for not knowing the God of Creation, but because the Greeks in Acts created idols and built an altar to the "unknown" God, they get winked at while the Roman audience who didn't worsip the true God in any manner get the full wrath of God. This is still quite a strecth to me. The verse in Romans would mean that the Greeks in Acts still created temples to false Gods with knowledge of the true God and a wink is all they get.
