keep in mind that in michigan,if the couple is from out of state,they have to be married in the county that issued the license(that is part of the state law).if only one of the couple is from out of state,then yes,they can be married anywhere in the state. texas is an example where you can get the license in texas,and get married anywhere in the united states.

while i don't have religious beliefs,my following buddhist teaching and not converting to my ex wife's church(she was a morman) were the reasons for our divorce(so i found out).i think there was much more to it,but time has a way of erasing that which is not important,or not worth caring about.

keep in mind,not all buddhists are atheists.but yes buddhism does not teach about deities(tibetan may be the exception,but not for religious reasons).and most satanists will tell you they don't believe in god,nor the devil(or satan for that matter).

and we agree for the most part,with the exception that not only do i not believe in deity(deities),i have no need for them on my path.

something to keep in mind,not all buddhists(or hindus)believe in reincarnation,and transmigration of"your soul"is a different ballgame. for myself,i do believe i have been"here"before,and will be again.do i believe i will come back as human?yes.do i believe i would come back as a cockroach ?no.but i do think that i have lessons i have learned,some i haven't learned yet,and some i just plain screwed up and need to re learn.

if i get the chance(or rev calli does),he(rev calli)posted some "rites"for protestants,catholics,and jews(i don't think islam was included,but i could be wrong) that anyone could use and not run into violation of someones beliefs.

if i use a title(such as reverend,although i also get called father at times),it is in official business.otherwise i prefer to be called mark.however,some have refereed to me as"dude"(which is also fine). just as a note of warning,be careful about offering last rights to someone.first of all,it is now refereed to as the"apostolic blessing",and most of your roman catholics take this quite seriously.any religious rite can get you into a lot of trouble if you don't know how it goes.
