  1. Will do. Look forward to a positive update soon.
  2. http://kamogawa.smugmug.com/Events/Kameda-Medical-Center/16228141_RSzQG#12191126 29_nPXid With the media sensationalizing the nuclear reactors, little is being said about the displaced people. A friend of mine in Japan who works at this hospital sent this link which I felt should be shared. So many lost so much. Now, so may are doing what they can to help. This is one story. Click on the slideshow option to see all the photos with captions. Peace.
  3. I will pray for your family. My sincere condolences.
  4. Very disturbing. What is interesting, as you watch on CNN, as the news becomes more "important," it seems to me that the commercial breaks become more frequent.
  5. That, my dear friend, is an $18. response! I always enjoy your comments. Shalom.
  6. Yes, I too believe there is something in the numbers. I appreciate your input, Rev Al and Bro Sky. We shall see if we can discover or uncover something in Jonah that will be spiritually helpful to all concerned. While I hover over the chapters, I cannot wait to get to chapter four and do some expounding. However, the next installment is chapter three which, of course, is important as to what happens in chapter four. Stay with me and feel free to interject, comment or argue as we go along. Throughout the bible, we see references to numbers, in particular 3, 7 and of course, 666. Yet I find it strange that many Christians believe they are not to get involved with numerology. Methinks it is more appropriate to simply encourage people not to get "too wrapped up" in any one aspect of studying scripture. I believe there are still prophecies, still dreamers of dreams, still visions, still demons and yes, we can look at the numbers if we know what we are doing. All in all, whatever we do in our search, we must trust God to guide us and heed His Spirit. We must acknowledge Him in all we do and He will direct us. What matters is the intent of our heart and our desire to "know Him and make Him known." I look forward to further discussion. peace.
  7. I did want to thank you for your most interesting comment above, Rev Al. I think Jonah is one of the hardest stories for Christians to believe actually happened...giant fish and all. Perhaps we can keep this thread open for any comments on Jonah since I plan on commenting on the entire book. Thanks for your interest. Peace. RR
  8. Rabbi, thank you for turning my scowl into a smile. I still hope that it rains on them, but maybe not so hard. (gee, I call for a little rain or hail and you would think I asked for fire and brimstone!)
  9. *sigh* I am confused as to why my words have been so twisted and misunderstood. For one last time, I state that it is not hte beliefs, but the behavior in expressing those beliefs that upset me as a fellow Christian. AND, no where did I ask my "deity of choice" to hurt anyone! I apologize for any misunderstanding. Peace.
  10. PS: Don't be surprised if you see it raining on them folks in the near future!
  11. Father in Heaven, You have done some awesome judgments in the past and I would like to ask for a favor. The Westboro Baptist Church people have been spreading hate messages and doing it in Your Name. Our Supreme Court says it is okay to do that under the first amendment but I believe Your commandment to Love one another supersedes that. I ask that You make it rain or hail on those people - JUST THOSE PEOPLE - when they are out demonstrating at soldier's funerals, and set their hateful signs on fire by spontaneous combustion! Maybe even cause their buses and cars to break down so they never make it there. Expose their hypocrisy. Deal with them, Lord, that they realize they are so wrong. Please. I ask in the Name of Your Son, Yeshua, Who taught us to Love and showed us that You are Love. Amen.
  12. My concern about brother Sky has grown since you last posted, Rev Al. I too have not received an answer to my PM to him nor has he responded to our posts here. Has anyone heard from him? I do hope he is well and just taking a breather. I know that at times I shrink back from posting for a while, and think all of us "regulars" should at the least pop a quick comment on the sidebar here that we are still around lest we cause some members undo worry. I do know that Fawzo is locked in chess games right now and will return more often once he is mated (har-de-har), but I do hope we hear from some of the other members you have mentioned, Rev Al. Peace.

  19. Hi Salem, I'll add you to my prayer list (which seems to be getting longer these days). You must release the negative energy you feel and forgive those who are causing you grief during this trying time. Now, I don't know if this means anything to you (I have no idea what it means or implies), but I got the distinct thought to tell you to "look under the rock." I really dont intend to sound facetious, nor am I clairvoyant or anything like that, and I have no idea why, other than I felt directed in a positive way to tell you that. May this situation soon be resolved for you and the future hold far better things for your family. Peace. RR
