  1. From my TI... "Life sucks, then you die....suck it up and press on." To translate in to non-military: Life is full of things beyond your control, dont get worked up over them and move on to things you can control" Here is one that I thought I coined only to hear it years (the two clauses seperately) later from another source. "Dont thrash and embrace the suck" Dont Thrash....when your in a drowning situation, thrashing is the worst thing you can do...you expend a lot of energy and get no where and could even cause you to drown faster. Embracing the suck is all about making your piece with things beyond your control. together, lay back, try to float and dont fight the things you cant control.
  2. threre are people that didnt know what it is?
  3. He doesn't have to, that was the point at the beginning about investing it first.
  4. Getting the reminder out there a day early isn't bad. It's not like it's Halloween that almost everyone knows the date.
  5. I am not sure.. I haven't really pondered it. I will give the basic answer of I will not sell my Integrity. Which has quite a few implications on what I would or would not do.
  6. OR some make excuses for things can call it imagination. As someone that DOES do digital artwork, I recognized a fairly common technical flaw and identified it. If Robin would have said they were intentional, cool, its her work, her call.
  7. I didn't see anything wrong with it. My kids loved it.
  8. Josef, that could get you in legal hot water since as far as the state is concerned marriage is a civil matter. If you preform a wedding without a valid marriage linsense and the legal authority to solemnize a marriage you are generally breaking a law.
  9. They are clear as day even at 50% mag. to tell you exactly where they are are at, is just above the top of the rope border between that and "l" in universal and the "i" in life. Here, I changed the background to high contrast and did a screen cap to show you.
  10. Text is better, but there still needs to be some clean up around the upper portion of the braided circle.
  11. did you try File->Create->Logos->Text Cirle in GIMP?
  12. By not pieced together, are you saying that you digitally drew each and every element in that logo from digital scratch? I have seen the majority of those elements in other digital artwork.
  13. what application are you using to edit your images? Photoshop has a tool call "text warp" and most graphics programs have some method to automagically do it.
  14. You can google a site that might have a "consolidated" list for all states, but I wouldn't trust it. Pick the state you want to know about and get in to the books or at least a site that is dedicated to the state in question's laws.
  15. While the background is transparent, there is still some "specks" between the verbage and the logo itself. Its not uncommon when cobbling a new logo together from several existing pieces of artwork. The transparency tools and magic wand tools work great most of the time, but they arent perfect.
  16. Overall good design. Looks like the "L" in Life is a bit cut off and it appears to need some "clean up" in the white areas, but good none the less.
  17. Well that varies by state. Many states have laws the provide that anyone doing any kind of counseling must be trained and certified with the the state. Most of those states have exceptions for clergymembers. Another area is mandatory reporting, most states have it, some exclude clergy from mandatory reporting others don't. I guess what I am getting at is, specifically what do you want to know?
  18. Songster, that is one way of seeing it. Another is that he was for removing an special status of "the church" and remove the "the church" from between God and the individual.
