  1. The book is available for purchase through the bookstore at ulc.net. Or was the last time I looked. Been so busy since I got my last course there that I haven't visited that site in a while. Not sure if it'd be offered over at the Seminary, either.
  2. I have always found that the most difficult question to answer is a never ending one, "Why". No matter how one answers "why", the question may continually be asked, whether out of fun, spite, or genuine quest of clarity. But don't ask me why that is.
  3. There are quite a few still here. I check in quite often and peruse via "Unread Content" selection on the forum page. I'll usually have it set for new content within last 24 hours or within last week, depending on my anticipation on time away due to other influences.
  4. Well. my fiance would like to visit relations in Holland. How much flattery will get my seat?
  5. Yes the admins here are usually quite prompt and courteous. I always have the comfort in knowing they are capable of stepping in when needed.
  6. It appears the issues have been corrected already. Thanks for the notice, though.
  7. Not as you think. I visited the thread Mere started as Hot Seat for Rev Ralston, but found I couldn't post there myself to ask questions of my own. What gives?
  8. Okay. Glad you are able to work around the quirks of modern technology. LOL
  9. Might be a problem with your phone not accepting cookies. This site uses them to keep track of where you've been, I've noticed. Had the same problem when I started using my phone. Went to settings to allow cookies and haven't had trouble since. But be aware, with cookies allowed, you have to be diligent regarding the safety of visiting other sites on web via phone browser.
  10. Awesome! Just go to thread titled Hot Seat Sign Up and post your acceptance for the challenge. Maybe Atwater Vitki will see this here as well. He administrates that thread. Looking forward to getting to know you. Merry meet and blessings.
  11. That's what I was thinking, as well. Was just afraid of coming off to him as rude. Sorry, Charlie. But thanks for the message, all the same.
  12. Hmm...well, unfortunately for you, you've revealed all of this under a pseudonym. Meaning no one knows it's you unveiling secrets, thereby you (your alter ego) will still take the secret to your grave.
  13. Ah, it may be just a word, but it is the reason we react to change or respond to it oftentimes. Nothing wrong with CNN, btw. So long as that's not your only news source, methinks.
  14. I think if we knew for certain there was an afterlife, it would make this life a bit harder to reach it. Kinda like retirement. We know it's coming, but not everyone is prepared for it, and worry aggravates life in its coming. Ya know?
  15. As we've had a number of new members join us here at the forum as late, I also happened to notice that no one has been in the hot seat since April of last year, unless my computer is hiding new passages from me. Hot Seat is where members subject themselves to questions from others in an informal way of getting to know each other. Questions have been fun in past threads. Will someone have a go?
  16. Skol! (I hope I spelled that right.) I agree with this sentiment. The message remains the same even though different philosophies came to this conclusion through different teachers.
  17. With so many interpretations, some people are bound to get it wrong. Personally, I have no idea who is and who isn't.
