  1. Christ was God on earth but had to redeem us from god's law? No...
  2. What would jesus do? Well, he was supposed to be god on earth, so probably something god would have done...yep. Killed his enemies.
  3. How horrible would the world be if prayer worked? I mean, biblical god is a pretty demented being. "please god let that lady who cut me off in traffic die horribly" would likely get a yes from the twisted being.
  4. So in regards to the idea of pacifism and the idea that Christian's don't practice what they preach, your answer is that your God couldn't come up with a better punishment than an extremely violent approach? And that's supposed to be wisdom?
  5. In a religion that teaches peace and love, should not the pacifist be ideal? Instead of criticised?
  6. Just this one... which means of course it's not every topic at all 😀
  7. I find more and more that titles mean less and less to me.
  8. I work with someone who goes around telling everyone he's the best routinely. We keep track of numbers at my job. He also routinely goes off and does other things that take time. He never gets to even half my numbers but he always has the built in excuse of doing side projects...yet still thinks he is the best. Christians all think their religion is the best, and all have built in excuses for the things that don't make sense in the book... despite the evidence to the contrary.
  9. I enjoy my walk in at work every day. It's a little walk, but for me it is all about the time of day, four am usually with a sky pitch black and full of stars. We're located a good ways from major lighting and in Georgia so it's usually a clear sky.
  10. I have come to the conclusion that the core ulc tenents are the best basis for my philosophy:. Do what is right and only you can decide what is right. I think many atheists come to a conclusion similar in nature because we utilise logic instead of dogma and logic leads to ethical behavior. Just my perspective, I could be wrong.
  11. You know, I saw a trial once. A purity test. If witches burn, what else burns? Wood! What else does wood do? Float. What else floats? A duck! Therefore if she weighs the same as a duck she must be a witch!
  12. Can we look up scientific evidence now? It's evidence that doesn't rely on opinion, but fact... never mind. No point.
  13. I'm an atheist leaning towards the apathetic view now, Dan. If your God is regional why should I care any more about him than Zeus or taranis or babba yaga?
  14. I held the possibility of God existing until I explored the possibility. I rejected the evidence of your God as unreasonable. I have not explored the possibility of life on other world's. I'm apathetic to it. You should, in light of the topic, look up the definition of evidence. A writing doesn't qualify as concrete evidence. Your allegedly fulfilled prophecy also falls short of the definitions standard.
  15. Not knowing the cause of the universe doesn't make it the one you settle for Dan.
  16. Depending on the deity, a lack of observable action can be evidence against their existing. A deity purported to meddle in the affairs of mortals with great frequency and regularity should be seen by the masses on a frequent basis, and when they aren't...
  17. A perfectly good being won't care that I don't believe in him, but will judge mercifully anyway and not be swayed by ego, so nothing changes if I don't believe.
  18. My philosophy teacher Mr. Kovelewski in college in 1998 made the contradictory argument to us, the first day of class. He was a Russian Catholic till he switched to atheism. One student tried to argue the Christian perspective and failed. It reminds me a lot of the movie God's not dead, except without the obvious bias. That student didn't come back. I have heard that none are so blind as those who won't see.
  19. You make many assumptions about us. I am not Christian. Seems kinda obvious, but I thought I would clarify. I say I don't believe you. That's not cyberbullying. It's a statement in rebuttal to what you said. This is my last post to you. Not because you are clever or superior as you try to pretend, but because you have no proof or valid point. Good luck with your search for the Antichrist and all that.
  20. You are clearly a charlatan at best. I think the military wouldn't have you. I think you have made this all up to be better than reality, but it's all false. Prove it with the verse otherwise.
  21. My city? Where do you think I live? If angel can't even get that right, you have no chance...
  22. You should understand that not being able to explain a thing does NOT mean God must exist, only that there is a lack of knowledge somewhere.
  23. You have not offered proof. You repeatedly say you have, but you are lying. Where's that verse? As to your military claims, I remain skeptical of the claims you make because I have caught you trying to build yourself up and not able to follow through. Where I was is irrelevant to the truthfulness or falseness of your grand claims.
