I know that there is a thread going about part of my question, that is getting rather Biblical--but I have a question to everybody, but most of all to Christians and to those of the Jewish faith. I am a Hindu living in the Punjab before British colonization--my faith is based on the Bhagavad Gita. I live the `golden rule` and all that is needed of my faith. Same goes for my counterparts in Africa, in South America and in various parts of the world--we have never heard of Christianity--we live a pure, good life-do no harm, love one an other...when we die we get thrown into `the lake of fire`. Why? Are people in the modern world saved only because they hear of Christianity--how about all countless millions before? Especially when Christianity dosn`t believe in re-incarnation. What was the purpose of all that--a practice run for God? Is God so small minded as to exclude some? Why does the Christian God have favourites? Why does God hate me--personally?--If God does, why did he create me a Hindu? It wasn`t my choice. Are the people of Jewish faith also lost?--aren`t they the chosen ones?--they do not believe in Jesus, at this point. They are still waiting. Hi AV--I am sorry to hear your headache with the `kitties`! I think the only possible solution to you corundum is --somehow finding a new home for them--first priority would be for Moon as he`s more difficult. Hi Rev`d Rattlesnake- I believe that always as the Chinese say: When the student is ready the teacher appears--he has. As we walk along the steps of life--towards better understanding spirit, we become more aware of what is of deeper meaning of what one may call `life of the soul`. As we progress along and become less attached to materiality, we become more aware of higher vibrations. The native people- being so close to nature have an affinity to feel the spirit of creation--as Nerstingwave says--`we are all connected`--and by we I do believe all that is around us. I am not a huge authority on spirit guides, animal totems or power animals--however I do believe that once you see and feel that something is perhaps of meaning to you, then they are! That is why they say-walk with open eyes, and open ears for all have a messages for us. We walk in a state of unconsciousness all the time and the odd moment when we are awake we see behind the veil. I think your wife, being of Romany blood probably knows more intuitively than most of us. So--she maybe more of an authority to answer. But--once you are aware of certain things around you you start becoming more in synch with `all` and that is when the messages come. We can all channel, we can all feel things and we all have the gift--some are just more aware. The future is not predetermined but there are only so many possibilities, so--these guides they just point in certain direction and it is up to you to choose the path, because they have more of a panoramic view of what is happening.Looking in -so to speak. Just a-wondering --is this forum a place to trying to find a common a denominator within religions, belief systems and understandings--or is this place a forum to find more arguments, differences within and amongst our different beliefs. If we follow the latter path--all that comes out is more tension, agression, antagonism and negativity. Aren`t we suppose to try and undersand the other--we don`t have to accept it, but respect it and try to understand it--see with `heart` where the other is coming from. What does it matter in the realm of things who believes or what an other believes if it makes them a better person? Whether one prays to a statue or an image or to the entire Greek pantheon, whether the rearl Buddhism or Hinduism is if you go study in an Ashram only-- If this place , the ULC is a philosiphical way in accepting all and trying to find compromise, peace and serenity --then we should all simply pat each other on the back --and say, `well done the way you are follwing your path and nice to understand more about your faith`--for it all leads to the same place--. Well for most. Please don`t ask me where, for I shall not dignify it with an answer. This is not a comparative religion course at university where every detail has to be examined, proven and shown that it is the exact theology, philosophy or written truth according to `the ` texts. Then I shall go once more back to university and take some more comparative religion, as well as theology classes. Not at all, ego is not mere mind--but if you allow ego free reign, uncontrolled to a degree, that is when we get into trouble. Ego is rooted in more of materiality than the spiritual, it has the free will to choose--but the more ego is in control the more disconnected we get from `god`, from `higher self` or `universal consciousness`--or whatever you may call that. I have been to Thailand and disagree with you--maybe it seems so that the images are worshipped, maybe some do that, but the actual `faith` does not say that at all--it is symbolism. As with Catholics, we don`t pray to statues or images either which many think, they are simply reminders for us to remember!That is why new churches are rather bare of statues and images as to dispel these assumptions. blessings and peace, S

Actually I was about to answer your previous post,---which probably I can`t but will try : how can you disprove it as much as I can`t prove it. --yes, laws of nature but there are numerous combinations of outcomes according to theoretical physicists in the universe plus, different interference factors on top of it all--I would think it is the same on the smaller scale such as our brains.--yes, new age, like a mini universe. However, regarding the above--you are right, but the possibilities are almost endless, but there is a finite number, and within that limit we have(probably ) the choices--how can I prove it? I can`t my `theory`--On the larger scale however this is not according to me, but a few theoretical physicist regarding the entire universe , maybe that is where free will comes in--especially when 11 dimensions are possible.
