  6. I think this is one of the most endearing things about not only Rev Hensley, but the entire process he started. He doesn't hide behind fluff and promote anything as anything it's not. He's never claimed "Divine provenance" or grace, just called things like he saw them. That is something I can't say for the vast majority of preachers from all other denominations combined. Preferably Bethel, Covenant or Evangelical if ya want to considered to lead the flock at MCC, and their very own North Park Seminary if ya want to actually get the job. All in all, I don't begrudge a single graduate of any one these or numerous other seminaries, it's good to know the faithful are in the good hands of a "well educated leader". I could throw in at least a nickel's worth of what I personally think about most of the ego and salary driven pastors of MCC over the past 35 years, but meh, leave it to the wind. I'm convinced they'll get their "just reward" when they get to Heaven....oh yeah, I do believe they get the "Heaven" they have created for themselves! I'm just thankful, ever so thankful, for men like our Rev. Hensley who saw things as they are for what they are! To me, that is the biggest difference between teaching people Spiritual Truth over doctrine and dogma. Allowing people to seek their own personal path and finding personal truth vs that of attending a congregation and being told one theosophical view of truth! Blessings of Peace,
  7. Well Rev. Patty, I'm glad you came back and asked. Absolutely not would I consider you a hypocrite for believing the way you do. I also believe Fr John gave you the correct "title" of your belief. I am a fan of theosophy and think you may get a real benefit out of some reading HERE to give you the answer you seek. Blessings of Peace,
  8. I had to delete my other response, I'm too torn up and even angry right now to make any sense...but if this sort of terror and destruction was "God's Will"...I have yet another reason for believing what I do. Sorry there's no "mysterious way" of possible good that comes from incidents like this or Japan, Haiti, Mexico etc etc etc over the past few years...no that is mindless, will-less nature at work, just the way it is, created by atmosphere, magnetic energies and rotation of the earth...nothing "created" about it at all. My Call and prayers go out to all those in Oklahoma effected by this horrific event. Blessings Be,

  20. Our military has "murdered" millions in the past 237 years under the guise of being "Right". Is that a right to do wrong? No, if you ask Humanists. Yes, if you ask the Pentagon (and what preceded it). Then of course we enter into the debate of moral and ethical "right and wrong" vs. that of Lawful "right and wrong". The two can never be satisfied to the other definition. It is morally apprehensive to "kill" another human being, regardless of how lawful the action may be. (Home invasion, protection of family etc etc) To wit some of us have had the horrific circumstance to deal with. While life may be sacred and sanctified unto itself, it is not "God given", "Government given" or any other "given"....the moment we are born we become subjected to whatever law of the land is in place in the location our birthing was done. If that happens to be in a "civil place" we consider ourselves 'lucky', if not societies around the world proclaim "poor you". So the merry-go-round "goes round and round and the painted ponies go up and down". People are wrong in their Rights and right in their wrongs every moment of life....and if Rev Rattler is willing to take on this enormous challenge of dispensing "Justice"....Hail the King! The rest of us may just burrow deeper into what we consider our Spiritual Journey and leave the driving to Greyhound! Our Spiritual Journey is one place where the lines of "right and wrong" are purely a moral and personal ethics choice, not a Lawful choice. Blessings Be, Blessings of Understanding, Blessings of Peace, "The spiritual journey does not consist of arriving at a new destination where a person gains what he did not have, or becomes what he is not. It consists in the dissipation of one's own ignorance concerning one's self and life, and gradual growth of that understanding, which begins a spiritual awakening." - Aldous Huxley
  21. Wonderful, fitting tribute from everything I've heard, grateful....brought back memories of a few departed friends here too! Thanks.
  22. So very true Fawzo. Yet another aspect to prayer is if you believe, truly believe in its power, then follow what Yeshua said in Matt 6:9-13 as "the Father" knows your every need Lordie. Have faith in what you Believe or it is of little value in all reality. The same goes for followers of alternative paths, if they Believe in 'spells' or 'rites' or 'calling rituals' or '(whatevers)?', its all in how strong the belief is and the specific requests involved. No matter what path someone follows, there is usually a set manner in which to petition the "Powers" to do your bidding. Follow those instructions and fully, truly, 100% believe and you'll be amazed at what may happen. Blessings of Peace,

  25. There is nothing more wrong than being right to the disadvantage of another, unless that right is based on another's wrongful actions. Start the merry-go-round! Blessings Be,
