stripedspider
There's a scene in the movie "Soylent Green" that always stuck in my mind...Edward G. Robinson ("Sol Roth") elects euthanasia during the film and during the process watches an AV presentation which includes:Symphony No. 6 ("Pathétique") by TchaikovskySymphony No. 6 ("Pastoral") by Beethoven"Morning Mood" and "Åse's Death" from the Peer Gynt Suite by Edvard GriegWhile his choices are a bit..refined...for my own tastes, I can appreciate the role of music during our lives and, presumably, at the end of them.Just from the top of my head, I think I'd like:"Angel" by Sarah McLachlan"Who Wants To Live Forever" by Queen"Fields of Gold" by StingWhat music would you like to listen to when your time has come?Rusty Cage by SoundGardenHigher by Creedand (so obvious)How Far Is Heaven by Los Lonely Boys

Robinson had the right idea, I think. However, my choices would be a bit more dramatic:Richard Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries and Entrance of the Gods into Valhalla Although, rev.daniel's suggestion, Don't Fear the Reaper, would be nice as a prelude. mererdog
Something written a really, really, really long time from now would be nice. Barring that, I'd be willing to put up with What A Wonderful World, as performed by Louis Armstrong....

Call me Flower
I guess I'm in the right crowd. Who Wants to Live Forever? is one I would like.Lament For the Dead is a very old song that used to be played on the bagpipes. ( it's almost impossible to find now, but I have a copy played on two flutes)Amazing Mist, was the original song before Amazing Grace.

Crzyme
What music would you like to listen to when your time has come?I would like to have the Grateful Dead playing as I give up life on Earth, and at my funeral as well I think"So Many Roads", "The Wheel", "The only time is now", "The music never stopped", and "To lay me down" would be good ones I think among others
