  1. Your poems have a mystique about them and are, how do I say it, deep. Continue on my friend.
  2. When times I wake in darkest night, Sweat pouring from this sinful flesh, I cry to Jesus in my plight; He answers, and my soul doth rest. Oh Jesus, Lord, God's Son Divine, Thou art my bread; Thou art my wine; I'm grafted in the One True Vine, Now Thou art mine and I am Thine. When oft I'm doubtful of my worth To Him Who sits upon the throne, I see the Lamb Who conquered Death Whose blood was shed for my atone. Senseless, carnal fool am I To spurn His love and follow not the One for whom my sin did die: The Lamb of God without one spot. When death surrounds and many fall, I thank Him for His saving Grace; Through pain, affliction, tear and gall, My hope is this: to see His Face! Here am I, my Lord; my God, This vain and foolish earthen clot, I'm in Your Hands, You're in my heart, Thy Son I claim, what ere my lot!

  15. While walking through woodland splendor, I chanced upon a lily fair Whose delicate fragrance beckoned me; I gazed in wonder at the beauty natural, This small flower whose petals white, So tender to the touch did bestow; In my haste, it's loveliness to possess, Did pluck it unwittingly from its home. Alas, content not I to have enjoyed The radiance of my lily growing Where it would have blossomed on, I sadly watched the glory exceptional Of that precious life wither and die Within a time so short expired, By my own discontent, destroying life; My joy thus turned to sorrow multiplied For the thoughtless sin of selfish desire.
