  1. first sorry its took me so long to reply as im using computer at library and can always get on it , also to answer Fawzo questions , mary can be both the mother of Soorows and Joy , as in her sorrows as in losings her son and watching happen under her eyes , and mother of joy because with the sorrows also came joy because throu his death there was life to humanity , so she is both mother of sorrows and mother of joy , is that answers your question or makes any sense as im not that best at explaining this.

Ok now I understand perfectly what your meaning was and you explained it very well.

Newt is that a standard Catholic prayer? I may have even recited that thing in grade school at St. Elizabeth's.....it is starting to ring a bell.

Hope life is being kinder to you. I love the way computers and the Internet have made libraries so much more dynamic.

  2. how can that be since evil had not come into the world yet.

This is further evidence that evil existed in the mind of God before evil is ever said to have entered the world. As I said before when God first judged the Light as Good on the first day of creation it proves that "evil" existed within the mind of God for him to be able to make such a judgement. One cannot judge something as cold unless one knows within their mind what hot or warm is. In a similar fashion one cannot judge something as good unless one holds a standard of what is evil within one's mind.

Evil existed within the mind of God and it was his plan all along that it wreak havoc upon the planet. Remember he created Jesus as the propitiation for sins even before the foundation of the earth was laid knowing evil would reign and spread wildly once he planted that tree in the garden. He planted the seed and even insured it would get ate also by allowing the serpent free access to God' children. Evil is God's will plain and simple. He doesn't hate it all, he uses for his purpose.

Are you saying that the darkness in the beginning of Genesis was evil?

No I never said darkness was evil.

  3. I will have mmore respect for science when they have found a way to prove their theories. From where I sit, they have never proven that there is not another cause for the phenomena they claim to observe. They are in the same category as most organized religions because they are based on faith rather than truth.

SB I think the fact that they can send and land a craft of various instruments millions of miles away on a widely rotating asteroid that isn't even visible to the naked eye and send us back data and photos more then proves that their theories are pretty darn solid most of the time.

Who said God is limited to the law of physics, how absurd.

Steven God created those perfect laws of physics why would he need to break them they work perfectly well for the purpose they were designed for.

  4. Perhaps it is the Devil playing tricks with a large flashlight on all those lost atheists :bleh:

He would be the ultimate trickster with the evidence DNA, Fossil record, laws of Physics and Geology provide us. Satan would have to surrender his title as the great deceiver to Yaweh.

Of course he does have a reputation for doing so,,,,And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

    2 Thess 2:11 (KJV)

  5. I am affraid you have made a statement that was in error. God did not start judging anything as good until He started to speak things into existance.

Steven there was no error. I stated "Steven8166 may I remind you that before God said let there be light and he judged it as good there was only darkness and God was that darkness"

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. 3 Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.

    Gen 1:1-4 (NKJV)

And yes He created ALL the suns at once as he spoke them into existance.

Steven new suns are being born every day......if I remember correctly the number I think I just recently heard was 40 new stars/suns are born every day

  6. Tsk Tsk Tsk trying to structure Divinity and Sacredness into a tight little neatly defined black box. Now you can crawl into that neatly well structured box if you like but as soon as you step inside and the lid is closed I think all you're going to find is darkness :)

  7. No I have no kids of my own...when I read the way that prayer is worded "Mother of sorrows" I get the concept that she is responsible for spawning and nurturing Sorrows into creation. Confusing to me to seek out the Mother of Sorrow and desire the opposite result.

The requests in the Mother of Mercy, Joy, Love and Grace make sense to me as the person is asking for those things to be proliferated into their life. To call her the Mother of Sorrows in the same manner and then implore that sorrow not be proliferated is very confusing to me.

How could she be the Mother of Sorrow...does she propagate it and nurture it?!?!!?

My desire is also that Newt finds the Mercy, Joy Love and Grace that is being sought, but I personally feel Newt is seeking amiss looking for it externally to descend from above when all these gems lie hidden within our own hearts and minds and only become more observable when they begin to shine in all their beauty as we walk in closer proximity to the Divine.

I must apologize as I didn't even realize this was the prayer and good wishes section when first responding.

  8. I have the body of a Goddess -

    guanyin48.jpg

She's my main squeeze and we hang out all the time, but she's always getting her dress caught in the door and that darned aura around her head is tough to deal with at the movies.

And she takes that weird mini-trampoline with us wherever we go ... very embarrassing.

Yea well if you think that is bad try going out with Shiva when she has a bad hair day! You do know Kwan Yin started off as a guy originally, don't you :)

  9. Law of projection... I've never heard about that one before. Although I think I am familiar with the concept, that we project our issues onto others. Based on what I've read so far that sounds exactly right.

Well from my understanding of the Course in Miracles we (ego) are Projecting our whole reality in an effort to hide from the punishment we think God is going to inflict on us for being bold enough to think ourselves separate from him and one another. Part of the reasoning that our Universe is ever changing is part of the plan so that we are not found.

That is my take on it. The Course tries to undo those separatist thoughts through forgiveness and teachings of unity

  10. I wanted to share with you guys a passage I read from chapter 1, about the meaning of miracles.

This is on page 32 of my copy.

I think this is really interesting because in the Mormon church, I was once told that our purpose here on earth is to learn. I was also taught somewhere along the lines that because we are (theoretically) made in the image of our Creator, we have the abilities of the Creator to create... so I find the bit about how we create our own life to fit our beliefs to be really interesting. It reminds me of the Law of Attraction.

I think in terms of the teachings of A Course in Miracles it would be more akin to the Law of Projection then the Law of Attraction. We are projecting our realities like a holograph machine.

  11. I have read and really enjoyed a Course in Miracles and have witnessed some amazing miracles while studying it.

I thought I had conquered fear totally until one night a young drug dealer was shot and killed six feet in back of me after I got off of a bus one night 18 years ago. I gave my first copy to a friend and have purchased another since then and still pick it up from time to time to read passages from it. Its main creed is

    Nothing real can be attacked

    Nothing unreal exists

Herein lies the peace in God.

  12. What's that new phrase? Likers gotta like.

It has always bothered me that there is a like button and not a dislike button on FB. It only seems fair to have both. It makes me delusional thinking everyone likes me without a dislike button :)

And man many many times I have wished for the same here so I can like a post without having to actually create a post taking up added space.
