  1. Andre, It was sad to hear of your mother Lida’s death please accept my condolences. I am honored to be an ordained member of the ULC. Lida's name is forever embedded in my credentials a reminder that I will always be thankful for her assistance in the founding of the ULC. Her presence will be sadly missed. Blessings to you and all the Hensley family members
  2. I agree with what others have said. I know that it will be a challenge for you to deal with others who may use this time to confront you. I want to offer my condolences during your time of grief. The passing of your Father can leave you feeling vulnerable and unprepared. Your world has changed and it will never be the same. So, in many ways, you are looking at the world as though you are looking through the eyes of child by Gale Massey, M.S.
  3. I am reading" Escaping the Labyrinth"by David William Sohn A book about Body Memory: The Secret Code That Creates. Sustains & Can Unlock Our Chains through changing previously selected belief patterns established in early childhood at birth and even before birth. Therapy as you read
  4. I introduced my granddaughter to the chronicles of Narnia a few years ago. Now that she's in 2nd grade and can read them by herself she continues to read the stories. I had not read any religious theme into the story, but now that its pointed out I can see where its possible. The chronicles do have more of an adult tone to them. Fairy tales were originally written for adults.
  5. and he's alive. I can thank him in person through the ULC Thanks Von for your services to those in need
  6. Tess Check out, TheChurchless.com If mainstream is unexcepting open other doors where open minded people know that Jesus was not ordained, Do that which is right, You may need to start out accepting that you are at the beginning of your ULC ministry and others who have spent years preparing and spending lots of money on religious schooling are a bit in awe that you would come along with so much enthusiasim and no degrees in religion and expect to be part of their church administration, or even start your own church. You might also look for support from those who believe that you are sincere and not be angry with those who do not take your ordination seriously. That's their problem.
  7. This blurb is more about, how I became a ULC Minster, and then my acceptance of being part of ULC. I read about ULC on another forum. I was curious and checked out the site. I was surprized to find out how easy it was to be ordained. Then I went to the forum and asked a question; I think it was about alternative religions. I began to slowly learn that there were many different religions and non-religions represented. Being a believer in Meta- physics, I believe that I was drawn to the ULC for a purpose. Being part of such a diverse group of multiple, inter-faiths is an enriching experience. To serve as a ULC Minister is a privilege. " Do That Which Is Right" is not a hard philosophy to live by; although it could be challenging to those who believe that only their religious way is right
  8. Bill, Time River seems an interesting book, it amazes me how people can go back in time and get such details. A few weeks ago I heard that folks here at Harvard were talking about changing the direction of the Charles River, at first I thought it was a joke, but was assured that its not a joke its for real. Have you ever heard of rivers being tampered with other than sand bagging.?
