  1. Too bad he refers to Agnostic Theists as Idiots... Some (short) video's on apatheism (which he mentions at the beginning) would add a nice third dimension to the discussion...
  2. Really? Death threats "sound good to you"?!? HmKay. Have "fun" with that "loving" and "humble" god... for eternity...
  3. Yeah, you just keep on justifying your "loving, almighty" god committing infanticide (sic!) At least it's consistent. Good for you.
  4. What is this? A pissing match? If your god really was all-mighty and all-knowing acting out of love he would have found a better solution than infanticide... It's like saying the Germans put millions of Jews to death so now we'll eradicate all the Germans. Sure, it's a point of view... but don't come telling me that it's the point of view of an omnipotent being that is acting out of love...
  5. Exactly. All-mighty and all-knowing, maybe. But not very "loving" in my book...
  6. You god is. It is the "old" hostage taker dilemma... but even more discerning; if you god was really omnipotent, all-knowing and loving as you say then he simply should have found a solution which doesn't include the killing of en entire nation of innocent kids.
  7. You haven't answered this one though, Dan...
  8. Interpretation isn't the point. A threat remains a threat by it's intention.
  9. A bit of consistency please, Dan... First you say that "believers" get eternal live, now you say "death is certain for everything living"...
  10. Really Dan?!? So please explain to me what those (entire nation of) children did exactly to deserve a death penalty...
  11. And here we go with the death threats again...
  12. Thank you for proving my point Dan. Your all-knowing, all-powerful, loving god didn't have a better answer than "an eye for an eye"... justifying infanticide.
  13. You have both (Dan and mieshec) found the perfect god for you. In my "book" there is no justification for infanticide. Especially not for a god that claims to be all knowing, all powerful and loving (sic!).
  14. You're beating around the bush mieshec; I am specifically talking about your god killing off all first borns of an entire nation just to make his point (after actually "hardening" Pharaoh's heart against that point! Sic!)
  15. Yes. Exactly why Asimov described the three laws of robotics over half a century ago...
  16. And your God makes complete sense; as he has been described in that "old testament" (Genesis, to be precise) he is committing infanticide just to prove a point (while actually first "hardening Pharaoh's hart" against that point, sic!)... that (description) is a fact. It says so in right there in that chapter. Whether you choose to (believe and) justify that... well... that's on you.
  17. "It's easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled.” ― Mark Twain
  18. Sometimes that's the safest place to be; right in the centre of attention...
  19. (It's) definitely (going to be a different world than that binary one)! And, please don't get me wrong (y'all); I'm not blaming the Islamic religion here as the culprit. It (religion) is only the vessel that is being used by some power hungry elites for their own powerplay... That "play" seems prone to "collateral damage". And yes, Christian religion (and their elite) will be part of that "play" too. As long as we keep talking to one another, there's hope. But if I look at the "leadership" currently being "chosen" by the evangelists... I am not so certain if "they" are willing to talk...
  20. I've seen my fair share of collateral damage in Yugoslavia from it... that (collateral damage) is the more worrying part.
  21. Wait... that's that same god that killed off an entire generation of first born children just to prove a point to a Pharaoh who didn't listen to his stepbrother...? Although he is supposed to be alknowing and almighty (even supposedly hardening that same Pharaoh's heart to that same message, sic!)... that god? And you expect him and his followers to be consistent and just? WoW...
  22. Yes, so there is an interaction between gullibility and self interest then...? So, there is hope...?
