Glad to be back. There was no forum back when I first got my ordination from ULC 20 years ago. The mission has been on the road for too many years to keep close track of new online developments. Seem to have finally been allowed to settle in one place for a while so I wanted to get back and reconnect more frequently. having a forum is awesome. I hope to be using it much more as the year progresses.

A question though. Even though I use a alias as a forum username, I have no problem...

Ah - character limit! ... attaching my real name to my profile. I have never hidden from what I say or what I stand for. Is there a way to do that or does the forum prefer a bit of anonymity?

  3. Hey Folks, I know I've been a bit "hit and miss" around here over the past month but once again my mother has been hospitalized with her heart issues. She's been in and out of Memorial North several times this past year and just returned home again a few days ago. At 91 she has repeatedly said she's "ready to go home to the Lord" as her Evangelical faith has been paramount in her life. Mom took a turn for the worse by having a "small stroke" last weekend and has returned to the hospital. I hate to be a pessimist but something tells me this may be the final round. She has seemingly aged an additional ten years just in the past fews days since I last saw her. My sister, who suffers from her own myriad of health issues dotes on Mom 24/7 and has been a literal "God send" to Mom for the past 10 years (30 including prior to health issues) and therefore I need to ask for prayers and energy in her direction as well. Alice, a.k.a. "Mom" and Jean, a.k.a. "Sis" both believe strongly in the power of prayer and both have several testimonies of their own regarding this topic. I'm sure they would both receive the windfall of positive thought, prayer, energy graciously. And in closing, my darling wife Kay was notified last week that her biological father's wife of 50+ years passed from conditions revolving around Alzheimer's. Ruth and Kay weren't especially close, but she does grieve for her father's loss. A bit of healing of the heart energy for both Kay and Wes would be greatly appreciated as well. Thank you all tremendously, Blessings of Peace, Al
  4. Obed Edom- Please make sure you do not respond inside the quote box of someone you quoted. It makes it look like your words came from them, thank you very much. Blessings Be, Example: That is because homosexuality is a sin. It is a rebellious act against God. And God will hold those accountable who do it or promote it. Super appreciate the contributions to the forum but lets be clear on who said what, yeah?
  5. I get lost in logic trying to figure out where the shoe laces go in velcro strap sneakers...however....I do understand Geisler's definitions and his synopsis. Regardless of what Belief any one particular Member may be above, I have to agree with the dynamic angle. This is something we are taught over and over throughout runic divination. We are dynamic lifeforms (human to all creatures) here on Earth, therefore we should not expect anything to be different elsewhere in, or throughout, the Universe (Multi-verses). Dynamic, animate life or inanimate substance is everything all at once while being nothing at all. It takes a lifetime to work through even the basics of that evidence, but it explains the most to me as I keep dynamically moving towards an answer. Makes sense to me anyway. While "God" may be the ultimate expression of omni-present/-potent life, by his/her/its mere existence (with the assumption God does exist) it must be a dynamic life force. Therefore can be the singular and the all encompassing at no time or the same time. Yes, mind boggling...but hey ask the big questions, get the multifaceted answers! Blessings Be,

  15. and I have to second "Yes, this!" From the plights and struggles we face as a local community here in Atwater, CA, Kay and I are fully aware of how easy it would be to give up. To just walk away from several issues that are very important to us because no one else seems to care or nobody seems interested or...or...or.... That is precisely why we must continue to fight for what is right or corrects a given social plight. Apathy kills just as certainly as conviction to a destructive cause. And we agree, the endless cycle of violence is exhausting, but moral cowardice will not, can not stop the violence...only peacefully changing the hearts and minds of people will create change. Blessings of Peace,
  16. Very interesting perspective Pastor Dave. One I'm certain shared by many within Christianity, Islam and Judaism as to how creationism correlates to scientific evidence. Without attempting to sway off topic and get things to heated I'll leave it there and just say I agree with Cuchulain and ask: "Where do the main areas of "proof" come from what is written in the OT Bible or Pentateuch? If Creationism is a theory, what were the general principles that were independent of the observation? What research was done, in order to form the hypothesis and prediction? More important in my view, what was the testing in order to prove this theory? If anyone can point to chapter and verse in any Sacred text; Bible, Koran, Torah etc it would make a believer out of me. Blessings Be,
