  1. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. When you are up to it and find yourself with the time. I suggest that you record you memories (either by writing, audio, video, or even memorial website) of James Spicer so you can keep his memory alive. Then you will have something that can be passed down through the generations.

  5. I like just about everything except music that sounds like acoustic feedback and most modern rap. I like the old-school rap, musicals, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2ks. I really like stuff you can dance to. Including techno, trance, country, and many more. I write some of my own music and have even sold a few songs. I tend to target my music toward video production music and sell it for personal/non-profit and for commercial use.

  9. Whether it is allowed or not people will always find a way to intentionally hurt themselves. Many people will also hurt themselves unintentionally while they are pretending to hurt themselves intentionally. I have seen all too many cases where teenage girls try to manipulate someone else for attention or a cry for help and they overdose on Tylenol thinking that it can't hurt you, only to find out later that they have seriously damaged vital organs (I forget whether it was the liver or kidneys) and they will never be the same again. I know that many activities are significant warning signs. For example, cutting, self-mutilation, etc. And everything should be done to get them the professional help that they need. If we are talking about euthanasia then I believe that there should be a legal option available for it. Licensing it, make it controlled and voluntary. We have always considered it acceptable to put down an animal to relieve its pain and suffering. Is it any less humane to allow it as an option humans? I think that there should be a combination of two oral pills that can be ingested that would give them about a half an hour to spend saying goodbye to their families. Some people could argue that smoking or obesity or alcohol abuse or drug abuse or any of a number of other activities are intentionally harmful activities. Should we ban or regulate them? That is debatable. I feel there is all too much government in the world already. So much waste and inefficiency. There has to be a better way. Wake up and smell the humanity.
  10. When I was in my late teens, I was told that I look like Thomas Dolby. When I was working as a security guard they compared me to ROBOCOP The ULC Minister officiating my 2nd wedding compared me to Mighty Joe Young during the service. When I shave my head I get compared to Curly and Kojak.
  11. Excellent link. The link on the page that is called interfaith postscript was a very informative read. Thank you for sharing.
  12. Congratulation to St. Murph! This creation of yours has been most enlightening. You have created a level playing field for theological and atheological debate, that is devoid of the all too common hate. Your sainthood is grand as Murph, you the man! And ULC is all the richer. Now, any suggestions as to what the traditional celebrations should entail? I'm not fond of SPAM and so far I haven't encountered its ugly head here. So, let me buy everyone a virtual round of root beer and a case of pickles as we cheer for the wizard behind the forum curtain Saint Murph!
  13. I would like to offer my heartfelt condolences and prayers to the Hensley Family at this time of their loss. It is apparent that Lida's path was instrumental toward supporting the Church. Lights that shine so brightly are indeed rare. I pray for your comfort and healing during this difficult period of transition. And you are all indeed lucky to have had such a bright star as a part of your family all of these many years. In reading this thread it is obvious that Lida and your family are revered, respected, and loved by so many. Do not hesitate to reach out to those around you when you feel the need. And do not ever feel ashamed to grieve.
  14. Congratulations Von Noble! It is a sad state of affairs that individuals as giving, generous, and talented as you are the exception rather than the norm. We should all strive for greatness; not for ourselves, but for our brothers and sisters. Just a small aside: Should there not be a public listing somewhere for us all to view this list of Saints and their deeds, if only by first names to protect their privacy? Even if it is only on a posthumous and subscribed basis?
  15. Not to be disrespectful. Perhaps, I am operating in a naive spiritual plane or wading in the shallows; is this a joke, legend, or point of fact?
