God bless you today, thank you Jesus for bringing another heart to the throne of love, understanding and truth.

Today, let’s discuss Mathew 10:34 – 39 (kjv)

34Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. The sword is a metaphor for the word of God

35For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. Our life fully given to Christ, we become new creatures in thinking, and living. Our family or people close to us may not have the same commitment as a follower of Christ. Believe in Gods love!

36And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. The negativity will start within your household. Your religious belief will not be the same as your family member, but remember God is love!

37He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Jesus know that we are in the flesh and we need spiritual guidance. That’s why it is important for us to depend on God’s word, and fellowship. Remember in all things giving thanks and rely on God’s love

38And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. The cross is also a metaphor, it’s strength to deny sin, it’s power of righteousness only through the blessing of the lord to follow your calling. Some are not yet called; however, we have heard the word of God through family members, best friends, teachers, church and people who hands out little packets about the word of God. They are many religions as with countless of churches and belief systems. Know that God is love.

39He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. This verse really makes you pray even harder, most will say, I quit smoking, it’s just my personality why I don’t get along with other people, I have a job and earned what little I am payed why should I give offering, or I don’t have anything to give to the poor. We are also poor when we look down on others. Remember God is love!

oh lord help our soul to understand your word. Only through our own denial of our worldly flesh that we can prepare our life in Jesus Christ. This verse is very hard to understand; however, God gives us a chance to set our mind and heart on him, and Jesus Christ. Jesus said I did not send peace but a sword. Here Jesus is preparing us through the word of God. The word is the sword. Jesus said in order to to save our life, our soul, is to deny flesh which is full of sin (adultery, stealing, greedy, violent, even murder ) these are the obvious worldly sin. What about lying, or taking a dollar from the tips people leave at the table of a restaurant, or cheating on a test by studying a test sheet another student gave you. It’s all sin big or small.

How can we start preparing our spirit and soul for the coming of the lord. Taking up the cross is meant to give up worldly possessions, not by sugar coating our life through material things, but heavenly things. Jesus said, how can you believe in heavenly things when you don’t believe of things that is happening now.

Verses 13:35, 36, and 37 are saying in order to follow in the word of Christ, there must be a change in your life, as with the Pope, priest, convents, people who religions are focused on the spirit and the denial of the flesh.

Thank you Jesus for this opportunity to share your word with others who are desperate to find answers, the lord’s way is not easy, but the reward is heavenly riches. Be kind, remember Jesus had compassion for all. Be in good faith, and keep your questionings coming. God bless you today and forever. Be born again, and fellowship.
