One thing I think the pandemic is doing… is making people care for each other again. I think since the 90s, in the United States, especially, people have become much more individualistic. One thing I’m seeing seeds of, and I hope continues, is care for their fellows. When I see people making masks, giving their time up to help those in need, or simply saying ‘What can I do to help?’ It simply warms my heart.

Thank you, first responders. Thank you, essential workers. Thank you, teachers. And thank you, for whatever part your doing, for your community — especially if your contributions go unsung and unsaid. All of you have my appreciation, and are so noted in this Minister’s entry of gratitude.
