I am grateful, after 20+ years of trying to learn how my ancestors survived and thrived, to finally learn one of their skills: I harvested my first deer. After half a lifetime of pestering others to teach, i had got someone to do so, and it was a very spiritual experience. Here in the 21st century people have an unprecedented ability to observe one of over 20 varieties of vegetarianism and all its prototypes. 200,000 years ago this wasn’t true.
I thank Mother Nature for providing the chance, and the shot being clean and true, so the deers end was quick and as painless as possible. I have shared of its bounty with all i know, as the first time isn’t for yourself.
