I put this up because it is a current meditation with prayer and fasting I'm doing. I've read this over and over as I've read though the Bible.

 

Looking for insights from others on it,  and looking for some direct revelation on it.

It says "when the Holy Spirit comes upon you", "you will receive power"...."and be my witnesses". And you ask, "is power necessary?"

 

Yes, power is necessary; specifically ability and authority.

I believe when Yeshua speaks of power he means the miraculous power of God and not physical power/might.

 

"But you will receive the miraculous power of God when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witness..."

Yeah, me too. The following narrative in Acts shows that: empowered speaking, healing miracles, spiritual confrontations and victories. The purpose of this was to be a witness, not any self fulfillment.
