Wizard Adam
Oh green-eyed cat that tortures me so,Playing with the ribbon you stole,From my bucket of ribbons by the table leg,A minute later a sudden loud pop,I jump to my feet in fear for my life,Looking down I see the Cheshire grin,Of that green-eyed cat with a tattered balloon,In his sharpened claws,Oh green-eyed cat that tortures me so! Whirling Dervish
Tiny green-eyed kittencamoflaged by stripes and spots and colors of the elements. Asleep beneath my chin soft purr against my skin.A small ribbon held a bell 'round her neckto warn big crushing feet. I even tied a balloon to her once but it wasn't there for long.Green-eyed cat now naps in the middle of the street.A muck bucket was once her homewhen we were too long gone. Fearlessly she leapt too far for any kitten. Now running straight up and straight down To heights of fifty feet I swear in cypress trees so tall grown in a swamp where many critters lurkunafraid of snakes and 'gatorsFor scarred table legs and doorframes prove keenly sharpened clawsShe meows and talks and growls and barks better than any dogStraddles railings 30 feet above the hard cementShe's big ole' green-eyed cat todayCamoflaged by stripes and spots and colors of the elements. Phillipe
Or...My Cat Is DeadlyA Philip Noir Detective VignetteThe rain smashed into the office window like a puch-drunk welterweight, throwing it's mass against the fragile pane only to pause, catch its breath and then resume its attack. I pulled the Yellow Pages out from under the broken table leg, causing the entire table to lean crazily, like a dame that's had one too many martinis with her flower-club cronies.A balloon drifted indifferently past my open window, the office fan causing it to temporarily alter course and bob up and down like a duck with constipation.I tossed the empty office bottle into the waste bucket. Just another day shot, another bottle emptied.A swell dame came legs first into my office, trailing a scent of violets and wearing a hypnotic green ribbon around her pencil-slim throat. She was a green-eyed cat and I was the willing mouse...

Qryos
~ You all are wonderful! & funny I guess I ought to try, huh?{No. I didn't choose words from something I wrote! I was being obnoxious, just random words.}green-eyed cattable legballoonribbonbucket{Sorry, otherwise I don't remember 'em. OK! } Crap, I was really obnoxious, huh?So dark in the room, silent but for the rain hollow dripping in a wooden bucket.A ribbon of dim light falls, slipping through torn curtainsthe moon glowers swollen as a red balloonlow and about to pop on sharp tree shadows.Sound of movement, movement of sound? There, wrapped around a table leg sinuous as smoke, a green-eyed catone with the shadows.... I guess Hallowe'en's coming up, huh?
