  1. Rev. Lockwood, Your ULC Ordination is legal. 99.99% of all city, county and state laws indicated that a person must be "Ordained" or a justice etc in order to be an Officiant over a legal marriage. You mentioned in your recent Status that your county only referred you back to the state. I would be confident that if that county had a specific law/mandate that excluded any specific type of Ordained person from marrying, it would be common knowledge by nearly any clerk or county official. The first link below states clearly you are able to do the marriage: Officiants:Judges of a Federal District Court, United States magistrates, Judges of a Municipal Court, Judges of the Superior Court, Judges of a Tax Court, Retired judges of the Superior Court, Judge or the Superior or Tax Court who has resigned in good standing, any Mayor/Deputy Mayor or Chairman of any Township Committee, Village President of New Jersey, County Clerks, and every minister of every religion. Go marry your niece! Be well and have confidence you are doing the right thing! Blessings of Peace, Links that will help you: http://usmarriagelaws.com/search/united_states/new_jersey/index.shtml Specific to NJ/Mercer County http://nj.gov/counties/mercer/officials/clerk/index.html contact through: http://nj.gov/counties/mercer/home/contact.html

  7. Blessings to you brother, I appreciate not taking any sort of offense as none was intended! I think the most valid, and important, issue here is the path that works for the individual. If the AOG works for you, how great, that, to me is what it's all about. I also think too many people take a personal experience, such as what I wrote, and then apply it to everyone of that particular Faith. That is not "Right" in my book. Blessings of Peace,

  17. I failed to mention above that the Bishop, charging double for the "outsider" seems to be quite common practice now days. Seminars at Mission Springs, CA for my Mom's church are usually between $55-85 at the door, with cert's and attendance records posting...buying tickets in advance at the church, between $100-$250 for the exact same seminars/courses and if you are not an Official Member of Modesto Covenant... $200-500...and they have nothing to do with the certification, giving the lecture/seminar/course...hmmm. Murphy, she reminds me quite a bit of a friend's Mom in high school...one that many of us teens "had a thing for"...especially around the pool! I guess her hubby, also a judge* State of Florida, says she's "quite different around the house, "not the person you see on TV except when she gets on one of her tirades!" From that, I can only assume "fiery red-head"** applies! Blessings of Peace, Some interesting Judge Milian factoids: *Milian is married to Judge John Schlesinger, a former assistant United States attorney, who in 2004 was elected to the 11th Judicial Circuit City for Miami-Dade County, Florida. This is the same position that Milian held before retiring to The People's Court. They live in Coral Gables, Florida, with their three children: Cristina (born in 1996), Alexandra (born in 1998), and Sofia (born in 2001). She travels to Manhattan on a biweekly basis for three days of taping of The People's Court. Judge Milian lends her support to many community and philanthropic organizations. Milian is the spokesperson for the FBI's Safe Online Surfing (FBI-SOS) campaign. She is a sought-after speaker well known for her dedication to the Hispanic community and a strong voice against domestic violence. Milian has served as emcee for a number of charitable causes, including the Latino Commission on AIDS, The Lighthouse for the Blind, The Miami-Dade County Teachers Awards, Hope for Vision, and the South Florida Children's Home Society. 18. "One of these days Alice! Pow, to the moon!!" Nah, no money grubbin' there! All in the Lord's good works. I'm certain this Bishop's "walk" is in Gucci shoes. Sad case of greed. Blessings of Peace, .

  23. If we can humbly accept Grace, from "G_d", "Odhinn", or "(Insert preference here)" we have then acknowledged far more than simple 'forgiveness', rather Life, Mind and Soul(Spirit) changing attributes from a higher Power/Being. It would behoove each of us to accept it with all due love and respect for that which we hold dear, our Spirituality. This simple, but emotionally powerful, act can take many forms from overwhelming change in our lives to Spiritual Cleansing to acceptance of others just as they are. Grace it seems can be from the subliminal to obtuse, abstract to 'in our face' powerful. Just how, where, when and why it connects to the "who's" in our lives is as individual as we each are. Bottom line though Hexalpa, is I'm in total agreement with those above; you posted a beautiful message of Hope above all else, IMHO. Blessings of Peace,
