  1. Reach I feel alive outside the confines of mediocrity, Touching and appreciating all with my mind, with a self-renewing passion of all that inspires. Success you should never allow to be measured in others' eyes, lest you are eager to fall short. Under God, you alone are the judge that. I must continue to reach for better, to become better, while the rest compete in a popularity contest, with no prize awaiting them at the end. If I feel foolish, I will be silent. If I gain wisdom, I will never cease to share it.
  2. Glow Taken aback by the weightlessness of body, I feel a keen disorientation while I slow, I feel peace for the first time ever, I feel tranquility as I notice a glow eminating from myself. With my mortal body no longer keeping me weighted down, I freelly go in which ever direction I wish, usually upward. I enjoy the cool wind on my face as I near the atmosphere. At a distance emerges other lights like myself. As I cautiously move closer, I can see their faces. Faces of all the ones I've loved and lost, although we are now one with the Light, in the Light, and a part of the Light.
  3. Nietzsche sounds a little limited and melancholy, IMO. As to whether we are matter based or spiritually based, I rather think we're both. Because of this, we will always be at odds with ourselves and each other over this issue. But hey...if you find comfort in something, I guess that IS your truth.
  4. Redemption Through the darkness I stumble, disparately seeking redemption, for sins committed long ago. Onward I struggle, to be seen in the light again. Guilt is overwhelmingly heavy, when accompanied with frustration. Yet I refuse to give up. Whether I am accepted or consumed by the flame. If I succeed, my reward is great. If I fail, my efforts will never be wasted. I will wrestle with the angels, until they bless me!
  5. If I'm feeling the flow of where this is going, are you suggesting that He may be of both Islamic and of European origins...like say...Obama? I don't know about that, but what with the recent trouble of Israel and the Gaza...it would be in the best interests of Obama to back Israel if he has to, as has all presidents who believe in my faith. If he doesn't, well, then I may have an issue and concern with that.
  6. Sounds like a wonderful interpretation to me. Nicely done!
  7. The Truth of Love The reality of the material world we see, Paints a bleak future for us, We are finite beings marching to wither, While we are forced to live while witnessing it, Indeed, in the future, we are all surely dead… Behold the Great Lie! There is immortality, that burns with all the passion of eternity, And that is love. It was love that gave Christ his passion, It is love that enchants you every time you embrace the one you love, It is love when your children smile at you with adoration, It is love when you reach out to the helpless and feeble. And with love we will live always, We will stand the test of time, And finally conquer time itself.
  8. Or what you do is get a Sicilian Priest, like me, to persuade him to come out o da kid. You want i should wack em?
  9. While I recommend the traditional Latin Rite, prayer for purity of the spirit of the exorcist is highly recommended. Best to not have any skeletons in your closet a demon can throw at you. Another thing you may have to come to terms with is there is darkness, and there is literal evil. The latter is your enemy. Focus on it, battle with it with the Light of the Holy Spirit. That alone can make a difference to the victim, and if you lack it, you may lose your soul as well. If you have any more questions, I'm here to help.
  10. My son was just diagnosed with epilepsy, and all my prayers go out to the Travolta family.
  11. Wonderment I hear Gabriel's trumpet sound at dawn, As the sun's rays warm the earth, A hymn of God's praises can be heard sung, by a thousand times a thousand angels, I spread my wings open and let the air catch them, lifting me up and forward. Looking down, I see inside every soul and hear every thought. Some humorous, some quite disturbing...some endearing. Some of them are saints, Some of them are sinners, most are something in between. What a fascinating race these things are! As the day fades into night, and I hear the whispers in their dreams, and the screams in their nightmares, I fly home.
  12. The Scales It makes no difference where you came from, what color your skin pigment is, what sign you were born under. In the end it will make no difference. We stand before one Being. Our good will be weighed, as will our evil. It's up to us how the scales tip. There will be no more excuses, no one else to place blame upon, just ourselves. The judgment will be fair and final, and the Judge will be righteous and without fault. The scales of my soul have been tipped in my favor, and I pray with the utmost determination they remain that way!
  13. True love is unconditional, and wholly innocent. It has no regard for jealousy, and is completely ignorant of spite, in it's purest form. It can also be all consuming, taking all of you within it, forcing you to sacrifice all, to retain it. Yet love, if attended to, can withstand all things, even death. And if love is pure, it will never fail you.
  14. Sheol There is a place of shadow, Where dawn never approaches, Where moans and sighs never cease, Where the sharp stones cut your feet, While you wonder aimlessly in the darkness, An entire world of deprivation of divine Light, An eternity without a future. No promise of hope or peace, The pathetic kingdom of a fallen prince, A king of fools I refuse to partake of this place of eternal rot. Better to be condemned in this life than the next. Better to suffer here than there. To be at peace and be at one with my brothers and sisters!
  15. I enjoyed this one very much. It was suprisingly warm.
  16. He Did...(Poem) Category: Writing and Poetry Stand up in the presence of evil, Face the fear of persecution from your enemies, Rise when they beat you down, He did… Pray for those who hate you, Forgive those who oppress you, Take in those who spit on you, He did… Lift up those who are in need, Teach the outcasts, the sickly, The ignorant of spirit, He did… Suffer for those who wouldn't suffer for you, Bless those who scorn you, Praise the Father in Heaven with love and piety, He did.
  17. Clarity I dive deep, Searching within myself for something clean, Something pure and untouched by this world of evil. Trying to find a spark of innocence in the shadows. I was searching in the wrong places, I found what I was seeking, Not within myself, but outside, From above… I begin to read the words of an old book, And I behold the words convert to energy, Radiating into blinding light, Warm and impossible to corrupt, Impossible to extinguish. The light of the Word spread throughout me, Like chain lightening, Opening my eyes to the wisdom of it, And to a Savior waiting for my call to Him, Since the day I was born. This is my testimony, This is the beginning of my life.
  18. I didn't think about that but you might be on to something.
