Death Of An Atheist:

I voted Maybe. No, I would not like to live forever in this same body. The pains of old age aren't very pleasant. But! If I could be continuously renewed then yes, I think that this should go on forever. (I joke sometimes that I am thinking about becoming a Buddhist so I can be reincarnated and do it all over again, and again, and ... , until I get it right.) Peace & Love!

Should We Be Allowed To Intentionally Harm Ourselves?
JimBob replied to Kimmy's topic in Philosophy & Theory
Hi Ian, Well spoken. I agree with the concept that no one, no government, has the right to tell me what I can or cannot do with my body. But then I also believe that I am supposed to treat my body as a creation of the creator and therefore I should take the best care of it that I am able to do. And I also know that I have no right to tell anyone else how they should take care of their body. I guess it all boils down to that four letter word "love". If we love our body (and love whatever the creator has given us) I can't see where anyone would want to do it harm. Yes, terminally ill and in great pain is a difficult one. But there are pain killers for that. But on the other hand, I see no reason to try to hold on to life if one is not living. Being kept alive (in a vegetable state) with mechanical equipment is a waste of time if there is no chance that there will be a recovery. Peace & Love! -

Hi Phillipe, I would agree with both your statements. Hehehe. But overbreeding can lead to extinction too. Peace & Love!
