  2. taken from This Website While people speak of Mercury Retrograde periods that screw up computers and television sets, today's astrologers believe the mishaps happen in more personal realms (Uranus is the planet that rules television and computers). Mercury rules communication, but more informal communications, like writing, speaking, short shopping sprees and other erranding endeavors. So, while Mercury is Retrograde, don't give that party, be extra aware of what you say and what you interpret when chatting with or writing to friends, cut back on errands, expect that the check will be in the mail longer than usual. Since the car is usually used for shopping and errands, don't be surprised if the battery wire loosens or the fan belt snaps just when you have rush out for that one ingredient you forgot to buy.
  3. We had to make the worst decision of our lives today. After talking with the doctor, radiologist, Neurologist, and radiologist it was apparent that the heart attack did irreparable damage to her brain and that there was 0% chance of living a productive life. My wife and I, after much debate decided that this was the appropriate time. Connie's brain has swollen far beyond the point of return and at 4:15 today we decided to take her off of life support. I had to leave the hospital to bring back our two kids and Connie's father while my wife stayed behind to see that Connie is not alone during her passing. Funny thing is that her heart, even after suffering a massive heart attack, is performing at nearly 100% its capacity and her lungs are still breathing on its own. Its a waiting game I guess but we think that within the next 24 hours she will pass. We spent 4 days of wishful thinking and hoping for the best but tests have shown that the damage sustained at the time of the incident had permanent effects. Thank you for your prayers, please continue to make sure that Connie gets to where she needs to go and that her death is peaceful as we can already tell that its still on her terms.
  4. My wifes mother had a massive heart attack Saturday night at 6:15. She is current at a hospital 150 miles away from where we live (she was visiting friends). My wife drove up last night and came back around 3 this morning and I drove up with her today and back. She is currently under a cooling device to keep her body at 90 degrees so that her heart has a chance to gain its strength. The will start to "thaw" her at 11:15 tomorrow which is a 6 to 12 hour process and will try to awaken her. We don't know how much damage the few minutes of her being out has caused her brain. My wife is driving back up to the Hospital tomorrow evening and is hoping that she will be there when her Mom wakes up. Please, give your thoughts to her over the next day or two so. thank you all. (Her name is Connie in case you wish to add a name to your prayer).
  5. "house of the rising sun" Rolling stones or "Gorecki" from Lamb here's the lyrics to Gorecki:
  6. or dare your college roommate that you can create your own religion, write your own sci-fi novel and devise a stress detector that will find the root of your problems by asking questions about your mother and youth. oh wait you already mentioned L. Ron Hubbard.
  7. To anyone who has taken the ULC courses, Would you say that the courses are informative and have been helpful in your ministry/outlook? I am considering a few of these because I like to learn, but not to be force fed. What are the tests like at the end. If this can't be discussed openly, please feel free to email me. Just weighing the reward of the course vs. the reward of the certificate saying i took the course.
  8. Isn't it interesting the Devil Wears Prada?
  9. hello you/me...just leaving me/you a comment for yourself/myself.

  10. I've worked in music retail for about 15 years now and have about 80 gigs worth of music on two computers. This is usually one of my least favorite questions because how do you narrow down a lifetime of music experiences down to a single sentence. I am happy to say, I have and will continue to listen to anyting. My personal choices per day change pretty drastically...guess it all depends on where the day takes me. I will tell you this though, I have listened to a new CD every single day for the past 10 years.
  11. I would like to offer my condolences to you and his family and hope he finds his way to where he is going now.
  12. When my wife and I first met, we spent about 6 hours talking about all of the bad relationships we went through and all the things that really upset us. We decided that night, around 3 AM that regardless of what happened in our relationship (which would be considered a courtship at the time) that we would live by the creed of brutal honestly. I am happy to say that regardless of what is going on we have stayed faithful in our communications (to the best of my abilities) for the past 7 years. Now here is the where the catch is. There will always be omissions. If a direct question is asked, a direct answer is given but we will never lie. Partly because I know that she is bad at not telling the truth. Heres a little bit of Plurgerian knowledge: If there is ever a moment where you feel embarrassed or remorse about something that you've done or you know that you can't explain why you've done something then there is a good chance that you shouldn't have done it.
  13. I just remembered Bruce Campbell played The Devil (or a demon) on the X-Files. I believe he kept burying babies in his back yard or something like that. That was actually the only episode that I watched from that whole series.
  14. My wife and I set ours up. We got a retired Episcopal Priest to officiate but everything else was us. Though most of it was straight from the book of common prayer, we did have some freedom on which prayers to choose and our vows were our own. I set up a playlist on itunes with all of our favorite songs (I came out to the Imperial March from Star Wars). One of my employees is a bartender at night so I hired her to run the bar which we did pretty well with for a few hundred bucks (stay away from liquor btw). Wedding was in the Front yard...reception was in the back yard. Worked out great.
