Temptation is a power word and act!!!! This is a dangerous act that can lead a person of faith to destruction. The devil tried to tempt Jesus. We have to do what Jesus did to keep us strong. Jesus told Satan to step behind me. We, also have this power, we have the power of the holy ghost, we have to use it! We live by the spirit, our bodies are just temporary if you think of life in that context you can understand what the bible tells us.
Matthew 26:41 “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Revelation 3:10 “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.”
2 Peter 2:9 “The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished’
Deuteronomy 4:34 “Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?”
