other people appreciating me

Sometimes it is difficult to know how much you impact someone’s life, just doing what you do and being yourself. I had a card on my desk waiting for me at work today, from a group of lovely people who wanted to thank me for always taking care of their issues and needs and going above and beyond. These are some very sweet people, and always a pleasure to work with and for, so it was an awesome start to my day. I sent them an immediate thank you. Then I saw an ex-brother-in-law at the end of my work day, who thanked me for helping him in different ways throughout his work life, and for being responsible for him doing well now. I never expected either one!! It was amazing, and I am so grateful that people feel I am able to help them, because sometimes I’m not sure if I do or not. They were the highlights of my day.
