Believe it or not I am grateful for the pandemic. The pandemic as tragic as it has been, has also made me sit down and reflect (on days when I wasn’t working…essential worker here). In this time of staying home and reflecting I have come to realize just how fortunate I am. I am grateful that I have a roof over my head, food in my stomach, clothes, good friends, a loving family and my health. I am grateful that I have finally answered the call that first came to me about 6 years ago, but did not answer until now. I guess it’s something I had to do when I felt I was ready. And in finally answering that call I found ULC and a new family. So yes! I am grateful for the pandemic for opening my eyes before it was too late.
