Izmir Stinger
reallyHe climbs the Empire State Building with planes chasing him! What did you think happened? He climbed back down? No, they shoot him with machine guns until he dies. Man is the real monster. The movie is over 70 years old. There is a statute of limitations on this stuff, man.Have you seen "Passion" yet? By the way, Jesus dies.

If not....Don't. Trust me, it's foul and vile. It features puppet porn, graphic, no less, horrendous bloody murder (including a mother decapitated infront of her child), makes light of drug abuse and AIDS.....And to top it off, the lighting really sucks. I mean, not only is it horrid and actually disturbing (and I ate pasta with tomato sauce while watching Faces of Death), but the presentation sucks, too. It was the first thing I saw from Peter Jackson. I did not actually look forward to LotR, but, thankfully, I was surprised.

Bluecat
Bendigo and I saw it. It's very very stagey - making fun of the staginess of the original one minute and being stagey in a modern way the next. The guy who was in "School of Rock" did his Orson Wells impersonation. Lots of characters get set up as story-lines and then we lose sight of them - like the makers lost interest. Some animation scenes look like they have been made for the video game. The ending is almost an exact replay of the original. There wasn't a single memorable line: not like "The wolves! They're gone!" - best line in another daft film we saw.I thought it was stupid but mildly entertaining. B thought it was stupid but enjoyed every minute. Rev Skutnick
I still have not seen it yet, but heard it was a very good movie along with great special EF/X.
kimsky1
I just saw it over the weekend. I loved it but can't call it a good film.I felt the connection between the heroine and Kong pretty strongly. Kongs facial expressions really help here but I didn't believe Jack Blacks charecter for a second which was odd because I usually enjoy him. I thought the special effects were superior and the long shot of Kongs fall of the Empire State Building was beautiful. You want to see this on a big screen, but you don't want to pay full price (IMO)
