First Wedding

Any suggestions for weddings? Doing my first in June, for my cousin, and surrogate little brother, and I want to do the best for him, he deserves it. It will be a Christian ceremony, non-denominational.

I often allow the couple to write thier own vows. Normally they pick out what songs they want done, Both the Star Book for Ministers and the Commom Book of Prayer have some very popular wedding services.

Yes, and he simply wants a non-denominational, Bible based, ceremony, so I have much leaveway.

I'm going to suggest they do that, but also want prayers there.

My wife and I set ours up. We got a retired Episcopal Priest to officiate but everything else was us. Though most of it was straight from the book of common prayer, we did have some freedom on which prayers to choose and our vows were our own. I set up a playlist on itunes with all of our favorite songs (I came out to the Imperial March from Star Wars). One of my employees is a bartender at night so I hired her to run the bar which we did pretty well with for a few hundred bucks (stay away from liquor btw). Wedding was in the Front yard...reception was in the back yard. Worked out great.
