    I just looked on Netflix and they have tons of Dr. Who DVD's all the way back to 1963... that must be the oldest running tv show ever. I can't believe I never heard of it.

    I would do the same thing I do now. If you really enjoyed Akira Kurosawa's film Ikiru, I would suggest to watch the movies Rashomon and Seven Samurai. Rashomon will make you think and Seven Samurai was one of the most excellent movies I have ever seen..
