I would like to ask everyone to pray for 2 of my junior Marines under my charge. My Lance Corporal just had her sister die of stage 4 cancer. That same day she found out that her mother had a cancerous Tumor in her left breast. My other Marine, a Private First Class, Just found out this morning that his wife (who was 7 months pregnant) just had a miscarriage. I ask that everyone sends prayers and good will to these two Marines. Its bad enough that we are deployed and they are away from their families. They don't deserve this punishment. I am a man of Faith. When this happened all I could think about was the story of Job. Even though I feel in my heart that there is a reason, all I can think about is 'Why' Oh Lord? Why allow and innocent baby who hasn't had the opportunity to have the breath of life to die? Why take away the joy of a first mother and father? Why take away a sister, a daughter, and a mother and the same day allow that disease to take over another loved one? I don't understand. Maybe I'm not meant too. I also ask for your prayers. That the Lord of Life will not only comfort these two Marines, but still the question of 'Why'. I also ask that you pray for me. Lord give me the strength to help my Marines when they need it. Give me the answers that You want them to hear. In Christ's Blessed Name. Amen.

I like the tolerance of the Forum. I also like to hear other perspectives on theology and personal beliefs. These perspectives comes from intelligent individuals who has a firm belief system. Its members are also good to the new comers in getting the "newbys" started on their own personal path to enlightenment.

At first my wife and I were watching a movie and one of the characters said that he got ordained online. We were curious and tried it. Well we ended up getting ordained. I have always been a spiritual man. I am a man who believes in a lot. I find many religions and teachings interesting. Teachings from Wiccan to the teachings of the Buddha. I am currently a Christian. I believe in Salvation and redemption through my Lord Jesus Christ the Savior. However I never disregard other teachings. I am a very open minded person and love a good discussion (key word discussion not argument) on theology. I sorta feel that they are all different paths to the same destination. I believe that everyone should live their life for the search of enlightenment through whichever means you may find it. I was ordained 08/31/2008 and have recently felt the calling to take it seriously. I am in the Marine Corps and have already been to Iraq. While there I have met a lot of young Marines who claimed to be lost. As soon as I got back I have noticed the rise in suicides of the young brothers in arms. I wish to help them in any way I can. I hope to learn as much as I can on every practice out there in the world. I am currently studying Wiccan so if anyone can enlighten me then I’m all for it. God Bless and may peace be with you all
