  1. Transformers I've been hearing about this for a couple of years now and I was very skeptical about the CGI, but it looks really good.
  2. I'm waiting for the next one in the series to come out. On his website he says he's about to wrp the series up, so I hope it's soon.
  3. I finished Shaman's Crossing a couple of hours ago. Now I'm really really bored. I need another book.
  4. Finished Ordermaster and started Shaman's Crossing by Robin Hobb. I read both her Farseer and Tawny Man trilogies and she's an excellent writer.
  5. I finished Wellspring of Chaos and started Ordermaster, also by Modesitt. It's the follow-up book to Wellspring.
  6. I finished Runelords and am now reading Wellspring of Chaos. Runelords wasn't too bad, but it's definately not a must read.
  7. I've been reading Runelords for about a week now. It's okay, so far, but nothing grand. Maybe the the writer will get better by the end of the book.
  8. Thats by Terry Brooks, not Terry Goodkind. Terry Goodkind wrote the Sword of Truthseries. I don't think anything about a fictional character's (King Arthur) grandparents and a fictional city can be considered historical fiction. It's just fiction.
  9. Alt Rock Blues Hip-Hop R&B Rock Classical Funk Ska and others
  10. I could have sworn I posted this already, but: I finished the Magi'i of Cyador and read Scion of Cyador, the follow-up to Magi'i. Now I'm reading Medalon.
  11. I know everything. I'm not just a pretty face you know.
  12. Yes, I knew that. No, I didn't know that.
  13. I don't normally like doctor shows (besides Scrubs), but my ex girlfriend turned me on to House and I love it. I don't care about the medical science hooblah (which my brother the RN loves) but it's House's personality that I find fantastic. It's much my like mine own (in real life). My friend constantly tells me never to become a doctor.
  14. Interesting. When I first heard of this I thought it would've made a great sociological study of how the different races compare to each other and act in homogenous groups. I'm not a racist by far, but it seems to be a fairly good way to introduce a "controlled" study. Aside from racists messageboards, I wonder what academics of sociology and race think of the idea.
  15. I just finished The Skrayling Tree by Michael Moorcock and don't fret, boys and girls, the multiverse is safe for the time beimg. Anywho, sometime today I'll start The Magi'i of Cyador. I love Modesitt's writing.
  16. I read most of the Gor series a long time ago. I'd still like to finish it but some of the later books are a bit hard to find since they've been out of print for so long. I'd still like to know what happens to Tarl in the end. Where I stopped he was using the persona: the pirate Bosk. They're twenty-something books in the series and I think I topped out somewhere around 17. So sad.
  17. The Skrayling Tree I've read a number of the "Eternal Champion" books and while I like the stories, Michael Moorcock can be a bit dry upon occasion.
  18. This isn't the first time a movie has suggested through actions a youg girl being raped. Besides, it's acting. Was Hilary Swank really raped in Boys Don't Cry, was Jodie Foster in The Accused? The director is a woman, some of the cast are women, and I'm sure some of the production staff are women. I seriously doubt it will/did get out of line before someone get's upset. By the way, the Supreme Court decided that it's not child pornography if it's art, so pictures of cherubs and Romeo and Juliet are safe.
  19. Right now I'm reading The Medieval Underworld by Andrew McCall. It talks about such facinating subjects as: Chruch State and Sin; Crime and Punishment; Bandits, Freebooters and Outlaws; Richman, Poorman, Beggerman, Thieves; Prostitutes; Homosexuals; Heretics; Sorcerers and Witches; Jews; and finally, Hell.
  20. I read Guilty Pleasures a couple of weeks ago. The mystery was alright, but it seemed like a romance novel with a private detective/supernatural feel. My cousin gave it to me. She said it was great. It was okay. Right now I'm reading The Fifth Sorceress. Again, it's merely okay. I'm nearly 400 pages in and it's just finally getting interesting. The main character is a not someone I can relate too. He's headstrong, stupid and never ever thinks about anything before acting. The writing isn't great either. In the matter of a paragraph the author changes different charactor's points of view. Not to mention the fact that the author is probably very very conservative christian as his ideas very closely follow the ideas of the early catholic church. Such as: women magicians are inherently evil, men are inherently good, there is a Chosen One who needs to fulfill a prohecy and his blood is the purest on the planet, the women magicians use a pentangle as their symbol, they also consort with batlike-winged men and are all addicted to "depraved sexual acts", as well as other similarities.
  21. I've been reading Legends II for about a week now. As well as The World is Flat. I pick up one or the other, depending on my mood.
  22. Finished Elder Gods last night (didn't like it as much as I normally like David Eddings), and started The World is Flat: A Brief History of the Twenty-First Century. And by start, I mean I put my bookmark on chapter 1 page 1.
