Thoughts Of Before My Time
Call me Flower replied to SilverRose's topic in Creative Expression & Cultural Arts
Dear Heart, I agree with Q. The voice is still within you. Sometimes it's not the voice that is lost, but we forget how to listen. This could be for many reasons. Perhaps we feel our words are lost on those we wish to share with. Or that other voices get in the way. Brightest Blessings, Flower -
I like it!

Thank you Wayne for the explanation. I am trying to understand something though. "described the school's common trait of "looking beyond the palpable" and "attempting to erase one's own image from the mirror in front so that it should reflect the not-now and not-here" as foreshadowing existentialism"[/color] Are you looking into the past. future, or the not even of this plain? And if so, why even bother with a mirror? Or is the mirror a metaphore for a scrying glass or pool? Again, interesting poem. I may not know the style, but as said before, I like it. Flower

You are welcome Wayne, I guess what I meant by interesting was; when I read your poem, my mind went to those in darkness screaming. If there is light around them why scream in darkness? It's not so much those with light are ignoring the others, it's more those in darkness are shunning the light. Perhaps some of those with light have come to the conclusion, that those in darkness will always stay that way no matter what they do. I like your style of writing. Again, thank you for sharing. Oh and I don't really know what metaphysical poetry is. I just know what I like. Flower

I think you write as well as you do now, there is only today. Styles change, words change. But you write beautifully today. In a few more years will you say the samething of your works now? Just a thought that popped into my head.

The Queen sits in the Tower's windowsill. Waiting to see her King's tufted purple plume amongst the crowd in the courtyard. The army ready for battle.Armor clanks, horses neigh. The plume appears, all goes quiet. The stillness so deep. The heat is stiffling as the fires burn at the gates. The Enemy is going to make their move soon. Seige engines at the ready, bows flexed to let fly. listen to the heart beats of a thousand men. The war horns blow now, the war cry arises. She sits in her tower watching her love lead the charge. The gates swing open, arrows start to fly. The battle is joined. Say a prayer for those about to die. Watching and waiting to see what develops. Will this day bring victory to her King or death? News comes late in the day, the purple is tattered and bloody. The cheering is so great the walls tremble, Victory for our King! -
Dear Heart, When you go to the reply to a post screen, there is a box on the left with a bunch of faces in it. Or a tiny box on the tool bar above the text box. Either works. I use the bigger box. Click on the "Show all" at the top. It will now say Emoticons at the top. Scroll down until you come to the one that looks like this A simple secret to keeping the box available for further use is to click on the little - box at the upper right hand corner. This puts it on your toolbar at the bottom of your screen. Hope this helps. Flower

Interesting. -
Green Eyed Cat My green eyed cat of the black and white fur uses the table leg like a pole in a martial arts movie. Wrapping one paw around the leg to attack with the other. Balloons are fun, they glide all over the place. Slipping and sliding, the chase is on. Them POP! Oh dear, what a noise! She hides under the bed tail all poofed. Is that a snake she sees? No just my best ribbon for a gown. Oh what joy, a silky new kitty toy. Lets see how far it will uravel? Too late the Mommy found me out, saddness, my toy is gone. She hides in a bucket, hoping no one sees. Black fur on top of white. Silly cat hiding in a bucket! We will never shatter her delusion Shadow and light. This is my Emily. She thinks she is the Quality Contro Cat for Ruben's Girls my Business!
