  1. ~ Michael, I didn't. I do know that you often speak of vibrations above & that you seem to feel alone in your beliefs...

I don't think you're as alone as you sometimes feel, but feelings are what they are, aren't they? ;)

Yes, and sometimes there are no valid reasons for them, but they affect us nonetheless....

When a kind hand touches your shoulder, sometimes you can set them down for a minute....

  2. : :) Is there a chance here that you have seen through my shenanigans?

edit: not to say I do not understand what I have done has caused an irreparable rift - but you will never understand exactly how many good things I wish for you...

  3. always ask for the vet to do your pet's operation - I found out retroactively that my cat was a "first case" for a vet tech at a local animal hospital - she had nerve damage for the rest of her life. A loving, companionable cat became a screaming, hissing mess every time she had her back stroked by someone who didn't know better....

    ~ The SPCA runs the shelter here in Reno { with a lot of donations by kind critter-lovin' folks of course! }

Right now they're advertising 'name your price' adoptions on animals over 4 mo.s, fixed & injected & chipped...

So many pets with no homes to match all the humans losing their homes doncha know :(

it's truly heartbreaking to see the number of animals in the shelters right now....

  4. Although this is not Haiku, the Fall 2004 issue of Slope magazine was very special to me.... You can see why by following this link:

The late Clayton Valli will always remain a legend to deaf poets. Many of his glosses have no literal translation in spoken languages, yet to those who sign, no clarification is needed for the "made up" glosses, that show poetic license is not only for writing.

The flying words project still lives and breathes. I remember it from Deaf Way I, and this issue of slope shows excerpts from Deaf Way II (ten years later). These are cultural icons I embrace and celebrate as an adult because I was not "allowed to be deaf" as a kid (in other words I was forced to use English, not allowed to sign, and expected to swim against the tide of noise I could not interpret into useful sounds).

There is something here which has all the hair standing up on my arms and neck - to say what I just watched "resonates" just doesn't do the actuality of the matter justice...

Br Devon, thank you for this introduction..... I believe you have just introduced me to something which will make my life more enjoyable.... and more fulfilling....

  5. I like the challenge of writing poetry in various meter because I not only have to make my English fit the line, but more than half the time, I think in a combination of American Sign Language and English, and have the added challenge of choosing words that convey my thoughts and still fit the meter. (Seven sign glosses is not seven English Syllables, no matter how fast I move my hands).

There is something about the idea of signing while reciting poetry that feels very right..... :)

  6. CO and O2 levels back to normal: 100%. Sudden death risk lowered: 100% . Taste and Smell senses regained: 92.36% Standardization of Respiratory Function: 61.57% Elimination of physical dependence of nictoine: 26.39%. BUT! I don't think that last one takes the patch into account.

    Doesn't matter, still didn't smoke. :P

Thanks, everyone. I'm glad I have a decent support group. To be honest, I wasn't really sure about posting it on the forum at all. But, you guys have been part of my life for so long..it seemed to be the thing to do.

you could end up inspiring a few of us... :)

  7. ~ Thank you Michael :)

    golden plays the light

    across the fallow field

    still silver water

You are so much better at this - but I am lyrically minded.....

    couldn't help it.....

and yours was so much more "to form"....

i'll think a little more and see what I can come up with...

  8. One of the keys is to fill the void. In addition to whatever else you are doing, fill the void. Adopt a physical workout routine, for example. That not only compliments your endeavors, but it replaces one habitual routine for another. It is 1+1= 3. Trust me!! Keep doing what you are doing, but replace the addiction. Get it?

But keep Charlie Sheen in mind...... :jest::devil:

  9. Fair advise on all counts. Thank you for the continued advise. I really am taking all of this into account and forming my plans accordingly. I am truly thankful for all the advise given to me. I have a rough idea already of what the message is I wish to get across to the people of all denominations of faith, people various spiritual paths, and everyday people in general. My sermons are already in heart and being processed through notes and careful research. I will use these tips in conjunction with my general knowledge and research will help me along the way. Thank you all once more.

    Sincerely,

    Rev. Morse

and the denomination is Universal Life..... name your church as you would like..... :thumbu:

  10. Rammstein was amazing live.

This is actually a play on words. I'm not sure why they went with hate in the english version. Du Hast means you have. Du hasst (du haßt) means you hate but they are pronounced the same.

It's actually MULTIPLE plays on words....

Tod der Scheide - check out the difference between this and an alternate punctuation.......... ( Tod, der scheide )

The whole song is a play on German wedding vows....

But I have to say - This song is one of those dark anthems for folks who don't get the words.... (It is humorous to me to watch folks banging their head to the song, with zero understanding of the words... :) )
