Fathers Love Today….

When the darkness came to know me

All my paths were set before me, so I would be saved

When my pride says there will be no other than he, I go my own I say

I give into my sorrows of immortality always.

I did not want to see or believe because I wanted my own way

He came to me in the darkest of night and took all my fear this day

When my soul seemed forever lost in his nightly play

He showered me with his love in the Dark of the moonlight every day.

Keep your eyes on me my son I will show you the way

Keep your soul close to you my little one, not to lose it today

The dark night seems an endless flight, but we will find all of your yesterdays.

Remember I am always aware of the love you have for me and I for you always.

Then blackness of his palace stood before me

By the dark forests of his desire to have all his children come if he may

There is time for forgiveness, my son fret not at all I say

Beyond you there is much of me, inside you than you know in your mortal day.

Keep your eyes on me my son I will show you the way

Keep your soul close to you my little one, not to lose it today

Remember I am always aware of the love you have for me and I for you always.

We have always shared this path, you have never walked alone any days

How soft and fragile is your heart, you think my love can fix you in all ways

These wings I give you to fly, up to me how you do, and I see you cry when you pray

You touch my face and say, I love you father please don’t go, and take me away.
