revblev
This Flak Jacket hurts, and is tight on my chest,Father, help me to do my best.I'm tired of moving on 3 hours sleep,Father, your with me when I get in too deep.I'm nervous, I'm scared, and more than a little concerned,I trust in you Father, not in anything I've earned. My kids are crying, they don't want me to go,A greater pain, I just don't know.My wife looks tired from doing all of the work,When I return, Father, help me not to be such a jerk.My feet are blisterd, and don't feel right in these boots,Thank you Father, for giving me deep roots. When I am on pass, the time just flies by,Soon, no more passes, and the final good-byeLet my wife, and my children, fnd pride in what I have done, No matter what may be the outcome. It's late, just wanted to get this off of my chest,Wake up at 0400, time to get some rest.Thank you Father, for the blessings I've had,Help me to be a better Father, Husband, Lover, and Dad.AMEN.
