Bluecat introduced me to the novels of Elmore Leonard a few weeks ago. We are trying to read as many as possible. He has written quite a bit (82 years old and still at it: long may he flourish) I love the dialogue and the plot twists.

Oh dear!! A Darwin Award, but still sad. Have we got so far away from nature that we've forgotten some of it has teeth and claws? Oddly enough it's not a mistake people who actually live alongside wild animals make... or not more than once anyway. Green Lady, I don't think laughing at terminal stupidity gets you a ticket to Hell.

Just started Stalin, the Court of the Red Tsar, by Simon Sebag Montefiore It's extremely good. I've never met the author, but many many years ago he stole my girl.
