are ya in the dumps?
those with the highest hurdles
make the greatest jumps!

after the tempest
life's tower shattered and strewn
lies essential change

act of defiance
shirking danger all around
howlin' at the moon
Must be something in the night air!

great thrusts upon thrusts,
an invigorating surge!

Must be the Vallejoesque avatar inspiring me now.

they've been fed dog doo
I tried to warn you that I needed some inspiration

I am here, my dear
going a little slow today
need inspiration

Natural poetic. I've been writing since I was a kid.
And don't be fooled, 90% of it is always sickly sweet
nothing wrong with sweet
it's only ever sickly
if you think it so
I have a tendency to write "purple prose" myself, gaudy perhaps, but it's just the way the words come to me.

Eloquent indeed!
Is it beginner's luck or
a natural muse?
I suspect the latter!

dance the green of evening
enticing my smile
captured in my hands
life does not mind a moments
appreciation
expecting only
freedom to be once again
in fluttering joy
Excellent piece, Avoice!
Personally, when it comes to writing haiku, I'm generally too lazy to keep a thought going for longer than a single verse. I'm a bit in awe of those who can.

BTW: I hope you don't mind that I've taken the liberty of editing the quote in order to insert the corrected line.
