I did a wedding several years ago for my niece, it was very nice and went quite well. Recently, her younger brother announced his intention of marriage to his sweetheart, and requested my services. Since I have a number of relatives of marriagable age, I thought it would be sensible to become ordained, thus saving them the effort and expense of setting up the one-day councilperson thing that San Diego County does (where they live). I figure that I will find plenty of people that could use an ordained friend to help them out, and that seems to be my part in life. Always do that which is right, and helping folks out certainly qualifies.
