Clarity

I dive deep,

Searching within myself for something clean,

Something pure and untouched by this world of evil.

Trying to find a spark of innocence in the shadows.

I was searching in the wrong places,

I found what I was seeking,

Not within myself, but outside,

From above…

I begin to read the words of an old book,

And I behold the words convert to energy,

Radiating into blinding light,

Warm and impossible to corrupt,

Impossible to extinguish.

The light of the Word spread throughout me,

Like chain lightening,

Opening my eyes to the wisdom of it,

And to a Savior waiting for my call to Him,

Since the day I was born.

This is my testimony,

This is the beginning of my life.
