Success in these days is a word much mis used

For material gains seem outwardly to be the aims

Of the wandering majority.

For a bomb dropped to kill brings a smile not a shrill

Success these days is a word much mis used

For strange as it sounds i cant find a metal shovel in the shop

Tho i have broken two this week alone, wooden and carbon fibre

And yet the digging of the bushes was a success.

Success is an odd word these days,

For even though i broke a car window with a weed whacker

I whacked alot of weeds and got paid,

Yet i broke two shovels and a car window

So my wage crossed my palm and then disappeared.

Success these days is a word much mis used

My life will be a success if i have made someone happy

If i have trodden lightly on the earth

If i have planted fruit bearing trees

If i have sat in silence and stared into the night sky

If i didnt get bitten by a hundred mosquitos in doing so

If i found out who i was

If i loved

If i lived

If i cried

If i smiled

If i had a donut

All these things i have done, and so is my life a success ??

Ask me tomorrow if i did these things yesterday, if indeed there is a tomorrow for me.

Wow, this is some good stuff here! I think you're getting your stride.

I wish I could have a donut, but I've got enough clogged arteries right now.
