      Very nice. (: Is it because of the way the moon is that makes it different than the HMEPA or is it just a preference?

      The Athenian calendar is lunisolar, with each month beginning with the first appearance of the moon after the new moon. Each year begins the first new moon after the Summer Solstice. the festival dates vary according to our calendar because they're based on lunar cycles.
